Work experience the first place i worked was softie hotel at Gatwick airport, i was a waitress, the type of customers we had were mostly business class, i got that job through an agency, so there wasn't any interview or anything major, just had to do a training of how to serve guest, how to lay tables, clear the table and so on. i didn't really like it , although we got free food i am currently working at Heathrow airport ,the company i work for is called onniserve, my duties is that of a wheelchair assistance at terminal 4 , i work on a rota , i work 4 days and 2 days off . the 4 days is two early mornings, 6 to 2:30 and two late shift 1:30 to 10, or 2:30 to 11 .for this job i applied online and called hr, i was called in for an interview, the interview and assessment day too about 3 to 4 hour, it was intense, it was a group interview but we got assessed as individual as well. they tested us on many points, starting with communication punctuality , group work and so many other skills few days later i was told to go online and complete an assessment online , got the job and they called for the training , it was 3 days of training , starting 8 in the morning and finishing at 4:30 , training was very intense but also very important , to start with we covered the health and safety i assist anyone who need help boarding the aircraft , i take them through security and then at the door of the aircraft I have sound experience in customer relations and associated roles. At the moment, I am appointed customer service operator at Primark. I liaise extensively with customers, issuing information / advice on merchandise, processing payment transactions and reconciling tills at the close of business. I also deal with customers through the phone and i replenish stock, participate in review meetings and facilitate training sessions for new staff members. I have worked as housekeeper at Croydon park hotel. I was responsible for coordinating hospitality tasks, establishing good relations with guests and facilitating banquets, other social and corporate events. Section 2 reflections of my contributing workplace experience      date: 30th nov 2014       place: onniserve    what happened “I acknowledged the worker of the month recognition for may. The recognition is given to appreciate extra ordinary workers performance in contributing towards the success of the business. The net effect of the award was increase in salary and a free weekend stay at another branch. The award is given to recognize exemplary workers performance in contributing towards the company’s achievement. The award leads to increase in my net pay as well as accreditation at place of work.    reflections on experience:    i have made it a procedure that ,it is my traits as well as the code of conduct that i frequently remain optimistic that at place of work and i do believe that it is this attribute that led to my effort recognition that led to an ward on my side. Negative experience with customers at Gatwick Airport Date: 8th May 2013 Place: ‘Gatwick Airport   What happened?  Give a description of what happened   It was my first time at job and I was place at the wheelchair terminus. I didn’t have any experience in this filed and my service to client was not that satisfactory to client and I remember one client telling me how he was unsatisfied with my service and I was called upon by my boss to explain myself. I felt demonized and upset since this was my first time at work. Reflections on experience: Looking back, why did the event or situation turn out that way? What did you do? What did others do? How did you feel? How do you feel now?   Actually the first day at work, I met a client spoke in Chinese and sincerely speaking am not conversant with this language and thus a misunderstanding emanate Learning from the experience: What have you learned from this experience regarding your use of employability skills?
