Taking time to talk to colleagues helps one gather relevant information and confirming allegations of those involved. I will encourage Manuel to confront his feelings towards this specific coworker, whom he feels is underperforming. This enables him to deal with conflict head-on, and perhaps he will realize his mistakes too. Besides, I will clearly state the issue of fair payment. For instance, committed workers deserve better pay than irresponsible workers, and in this case, Manuel seems dissatisfied with his job.

The frequent visitation to the manager’s office is often a waste of time; in addition, I will kindly explain to Manuel the specific standards the company is yet to meet. This means the suggestion for increased salary is an issue to be considered later. Moreover, when confronting Manuel’s threat to leave the company, I will advise him to deal with one issue at a time. He is certainly burdened with a lot of negative emotions at work, and no company would wish to employ a person with unresolved conflicts.
