Job searching or job posting come sometimes be a hell of problems for job searches as well as employers. This is because the tools used by both job seekers and employers can sometimes be quite unreliable and time consuming as well. As such most jobs never get listed due to the tedious work like sorting resumes, short listing among others. Kroft, & Pope, (2014) explains that employers want to avoid this tedious task, most jobs that are never listed find their place on sites that are easily accessible and the sites are the best Canadian job markets. Kuhn, & Mansour, (2014) identified the three major internet job sites available for Canadians are as follows: first, Monster Canada available on http://www.monster.ca; this site has grown to become one of the best platforms for employers seeking to fill their opening as well as employees seeking to find placements. Monster Canada has a large data base available for people interested in certain jobs in different career fields. Further, Monster Canada provides career advice within its site. Second is Linked In. this site is among the social networking sites like twitter, face book and the likes. It emphasizes on building good work relations and professional networks which enables one to get job placements (Gibbs, MacDonald, & MacKay, 2015). From this, people get access to job opportunities through the professional networks they build rather than searching a whole data base for them. It therefore provides connections for people within similar field and as such can easily get the jobs they desire. Third is career builder. This site is available at http://careerbuilder.ca. This site enables employers to advertise for openings while also allowing the employees to get access to these placements. It further provides job recommendations, a platform for uploading resumes and a link to featured employers. Analysis of the sites The three sites listed above all have their characteristics that are unique to them and help them stay in the market in their attempt to reach their target audience. Let us begin with monster which is available on http://www.monster.ca. This is job searching site that enables one to browse their preferred jobs by company, location or even by categories and industries. This site additionally has an online radio that provides an expert advice on jobs across Canada. This radio ensures their target audience is helped to find the jobs they desire. Further, it provides articles on certain important issues like resume writing, career planning and job hunting techniques among others for their target group. Other tips provided in the site apart from just job opportunities include information on why people get fired, dress cord do’s and don’ts. The site has other links on social networks like Facebook, twitter, career fair, Google plus, Pintrest and you tube. Linked in on the other hand is a social networking site that is basically business oriented. As of June 2014, the site had reached 350 million users. Additionally, it is available in 20 different languages for people of different ethnic backgrounds. The feature of linked in that is of interest is that it can provide an individual with connection to anyone they would invite. These connections can be useful in the following ways: they can provide one with introductions to connections of their connections; recommendations and endorsements that increases one’s ability to get a job; an individual can find business opportunity; employers can also find potential candidates from the site; users can bookmark jobs they intend to apply; users can post photos and view other users photos thus aiding identification; they can see those who viewed their profiles; users can also follow various companies and get updates on job openings they have. However, linked in endorsement of skills as a feature has been criticized for the people who do such endorsements may not be accurate. Third is career builder which is available at http://careerbuilder.ca. has approximately 4 million visitors in Canada each year. This site has the following features: it enables a job seeker to search job opening through use of key words and city. Further a job seeker can search for the job opportunity using categories and location. The site further provides a career advice to the job seekers, upload a resume and get job recommendations. The sites ha a search engine that will help identifying the suitable job for an individual based on their resumes. It also has a feature employer segment that gives information about the employers with openings at the moment. A look at the three sites gives certain similarities in terms of services offered such as technical advice on careers which is offered by both career builder and monster Canada. Linked in however gives a connection that may appear real and thus brings the employer closer to the employee. The connections in linked in are more advantageous especially given the endorsements. I find Linked the best of the three because the professional connections make it easier for a job seeker to get placements. Further the connections give additional connections to connections that an individual already has, given the message platform it offers and profile pictures it stands out among the three sites. I thus recommend to Canadian students Linked in as best job seekers site. Below is graph displaying the score of each sites according to my rating based on the analysis of their convenience and reach. This rating was done in a scale of 1 to 10 to give a score of each based on their feature characteristics. Job searching is a very tedious task that fresh graduates are faced with. As such there is need for an individual to know some of the best places they can find information on job openings. According to Nguyen, (2014), employers want to avoid the tedious task of advertising for openings, screening and all other complex procedure in getting a candidate, the sites offer a good opportunity for them to get access to prospective employees that is why most jobs that are never listed find their place on sites that are easily accessible and the sites are the best Canadian job markets.
