In the first place, as the distance between producers and consumers increases and the number of potential customers grows, the problem of market communication becomes significant.
There are Five different methods which are adopted for promotion, that are (1) Public Relations (2) Advertising (3) Publicity (4) Sales Promotion (5) Personal selling. The decision of the Promotional mix is related to budget availability for funds promotion, nature of the market and the product and the stage of the product life cycle.
Advertising consist of all the activities involved in presenting to a group a non-personal, oral or visual, openly sponsored message regarding a product, service, or idea. This message, called an advertisement, is transmitted through one or more media and paid for by the identified sponsor.” Advertising is a paid-for communication. It is used to develop attitudes, create awareness, and transmit information in order to gain a response from the target market.” (Promotion. Advertising. 2002).
The intention of advertising is to attract existing and potential customers. The main purpose of advertising is usually, to gain maximum customer interest, to create the desire for product and service and to promote customers to buy.
We are choosing the advertisement for Toyota is one of the best examples of successful advertisements they mainly attract their customers through television. Television is regarded as the best overall medium for achieving mass impact and creating an immediate or quick sales response.
