Article: Strengthening Health and Safety Culture of the of the Article — Strengthening Health and Safety Culture Thecontemporary news article, “Strengthening Health and Safety Culture”, described the public consultations on prevention programs to reinforce workplace health and safety values and performance (MacBride & Skeaff, 2014). The focus of this article is upon the Ministry of Labour’s public consultation on prevention programs related to workplace health and safety, which will benefit workers at the workplace.

This article’s central theme is the governmental initiative to enable offices to achieve amenability, motivate employees and employers to improve workplace health and safety measures, and to achieve quantifiable results. The completion of review, of the consultations’ results, will enable the ministry and its system partners to design and administer certain prevention programs for improving the health and safety system.This article’s connection to human resources is that employers and employees are collectively responsible for preserving the health and safety of workers.

Employers are obliged to exercise due diligence, by adopting every reasonable measure to ensure the health and safety of their workers (Dessler, Munro, & Cole, 2008, p. 282).The aim of the public consultation on prevention programs, to be undertaken by the Labour Ministry is to strengthen health and safety at the workplace. This requires the coordination and effective involvement of all the stake holders of the program. Moreover, the Labour Ministry has to ensure the optimal design and administration of the program, by collaborating with the other members of the program.
