Performance management Performance management It is essential for the organization to utilize a dissected style of management. This regards having an upper level of management that steers the vision of the organization and craft strategies for approaching the global business environment and a lower level of management that deals with the day-to-day operations. . This arrangement has much benefits that outweigh the costs of carrying out the new administrative structure. To begin with, it eases the work of day-to-day managers since they focus on specific issues.

This creates the capacity for creativity in establishing efficiency and effectiveness in regular operations (Novak, 2008). For instance, the human resource manager would solely focus on day-to-day welfare of employees. In spite of the fact that this strategy will compromise on the morale of employees, there are many ways of tackling this challenge. In the new arrangement, the human resource manager should solely focus on the welfare of employees by linking with department representatives (Burton & Obel, 2004).

The choice of managers should follow a meritocratic process that prioritizes on current managers with longer experiences. In addition, the selection process should focus on managers who have come up with milestone ideas in the past. The organization should minimize conflicts by creating a structure whereby the lower-level managers can constantly interact with the upper-level managers. The managers should assure the employees that the levels of management separate on the basis of different responsibilities rather on the basis on prestige (Lumpe, 2008).

In the end, this strategy will cover up for the costs of having a new administrative structure. This is because managers will possess distinct duties that they focus on the same. ReferencesBurton, R.
