Discussion Board Think about a time when you were given feedback about your performance either at work or school. How was the information fed back toyou and how did you receive it? Were you motivated to change after receiving the feedback? Why or why not? There was a time when I was in high school and I was struggling with one of my classes. I didnt really understand the course content and it showed by the poor grades that I received on my assignments and quizzes. One day the teacher asked that I stay back after class so that he could discuss some things with me.
I did this and heard his concerns about my performance in class. He did not say that it was my fault but maybe it was his teaching style that was the problem. He offered to give me extra lessons after class to make sure that I kept up with the others. I received this feedback quite well because it was done in such a way where I was not humiliated or embarrassed. It gave me a chance to reflect and respond to the help being offered. I was motivated to change after receiving this feedback because the teacher showed that he really cared about my grades, and this made it easy for me to put in some extra effort for the rest of the semester.
