Firms should guide their recruiters through an in-house training regiment where they should acquaint their recruiters with the firm's goals, core values and recruiting strategies. Recruiters should also be taught follow-up skills which will be helpful in answering the questions asked by prospective employees. Once all of this is done, recruiters should be confident enough to increase the number of quality people in the firm. In the end, the author says that it is imperative that recruiters should go through these processes to meet the organization's future staffing needs.

This article gives us insight into how modern firms look at the process of recruiting and selecting the right recruiter. A recruiter is not someone who has to just fill forms and interview possible candidates. However, recruiters should have a dynamic personality who can attract new talent through their networking efforts which enable them to attract quality people. This is important because in today's world of intense competition if you cannot get your hands on the new talent soon, chances are that your competition will lure them.

So, good recruiters cannot sit in his effort and wait for quality people to turn up, but instead, he needs to survey and get his hands on the right talent before the others do. The knowledge of recruiters to the firm's goals and values is imperative because it will allow the recruiter to find a candidate who fits the job requirement or who will be an asset to the firm. This does not only apply to recruit but to all positions in the organizations because if this is not kept in mind it can create dissonance between the firm and its prospective employee.

Therefore, it is imperative that recruiters should know the firm's values, goals, and strategy in order to fulfill staffing needs. Similarly, communication skills are also essential in attracting the right employees. This will involve recruiters to communicate features of jobs to prospective employees in a manner that they cannot say no to the firm's offer. A good recruiter does not exaggerate things, but instead, he talks from this own experience making others at ease and lure them to the job.
