Even in the modern times, the world has had to deal with some of the worst conflicts in recorded history. For instance the United Nations cam into being as a result of global conflicts that necessitated people from around the globe to think of ways to deal with conflict before it degenerates into war. In almost a century, the world has not seen major global conflict.
