Three Branches of US Government The government of US is divided into three branches which operate together to ensure that the country operates in the most effective and efficient manner. The US government is divided into the judicial, legislative and executive branches and these branches are awarded with equal amount of power to ensure that no misuse of power takes place. The legislative branch of US was formed under the direction of Article I of the US constitution and comprises of members of the Congress.

This branch consist of two bodies, the senate and the House of Representatives and their main function is the create rules and regulations for the nation and its public by either voting in or against the favor of a particular bill. This branch is even responsible for approval of judges at the federal level and is even involved in the act of passing the nation’s budget and they even have the authority to declare war (Pozgar 17). The second branch of the US government is the executive branch whose main function is to ensure that rules and regulations set by the government are being enforced and the chief of this branch is the President of the United states who can either accept or reject a proposal of certain rule and regulation that may or may not govern the nation.

The last branch of the government of US is judicial branch whose main function is to assist in dispute resolution while making decisions that are in compliance with the US constitution.
