If the writers of the second amendment could have predicted the effect of this change, they could possibly have expressed the change in in the constitution in a diverse manner. Most public arguments and judgments addressed the written angle and perspective of the amendment. Public enthusiasts and protesters against the phrasing of the amendment did not recognize even the pretentious aspect of the amendment. As a result, the perception of the American citizens towards the armed forces negatively changed.
Strong armed forces were disbelieved because they had been used as instruments of suppression by the monarchs of England for hundreds of years. The following research paper will look into the actual purpose of the amendment concerning the guarantee of continuance and thriving of state mercenaries as a way of ensuring security, or a person’s liberties to possess a firearm (Cornell 13). During the 1780s, the intensification of an autocrat to a leadership status in the United States led to an increased worry by the civilians.
Currently, voters are more inclined to vote for a leader who has stated objectives that aim at oppress the liberties of declaration paramilitary law.
