Health Health Why Losing Fat Is Important For People’s Health The term losing fat is used to refer to the process of decreasing the body weight of an individual in order to attain a balanced body mass index (BMI). Individuals who experience higher level of body fat have to experience several social, psychological as well as health problems. Losing body fat is the key to solving many of these problems. There are various methods through which an individual can lose weight including healthy dietary practices, physical activity and exercises. Losing fat is essential for individuals because it can help in avoiding health issues, cure health problems and helps in avoiding psychological issues. One of the major benefits of losing body fat is that it can help an individual in avoiding various lethal health issues. One of the most intriguing problems experienced by the society today is the health issue of obesity. Each year several individuals become obese and experience the risk of developing lethal diseases such as diabetes. If an individual indulges in losing body fat, he/she can reduce the chances of developing diabetes. According to CDC, an individual can avert the development of diabetes by only reducing their body fat by 5 to 7% by only exercising each day for a total of less than 30 minutes (CDC, 2014). Losing body fat does not only help in reducing the risk of developing diseases, it even helps in cure of several diseases. One of the diseases that can be cured with the help of losing body fat is GERD. GERD is an acronym used to refer to the medical condition of Gastroesophageal reflux disease. An individual who suffers from this medical condition experiences returning of the content within the stomach into the esophagus of an individual and due to this an individual experiences chronic heartburn. Singh et al. conducted a study in which the researchers tried to identify the impact of weight loss on GERD (Singh et al., 2013). The researchers identified that 81% if those participants who were able to reduce weight experienced reduction in the symptoms caused due to GERD. Other than health effects, losing body weight even helps in avoiding the risk of developing mental disorders and cognitive issues. Individuals who experience increase in body fat end up experiencing several mental issues. If an individual indulges in decreasing their body fat, they can reduce the chances of developing mental disorders. Simon et al. conducted a study in which they were able to identify those individuals who suffer from obesity experienced increase in depression throughout their life (Simon et al., 2006). Losing body fat is very significant for an individual as it assists an individual in reducing the risk of developing health diseases such as diabetes and psychological disorders such as depression. Furthermore, losing body fat even helps an individual in curing health diseases such as GERD. Why sport/gym is best healthy way to loss fat? There are various strategies that can be implemented by an individual in order to reduce body fat. The two most common strategies used for losing body fat include diet and exercising at the gym. When an individual is indulged in dieting in order to reduce weight, he/she has to follow a proper diet plan in which the individual may have to sacrifice on various food items that they may dislike. On the other hand, in case of exercising in a gym requires an individual to burn calories in order to maintain a limited calorie count required to lose body fat. Exercising at the gym is the most healthy way of losing body weight because it does not require an individual to cut down on his/her favorite foods, it does not require starving as in the case of dieting and can help in reducing more weight in limited time. Exercising is the healthiest method of losing body fat because it does not require an individual to forgo his/her favorite food items. The theory behind exercising and losing weight is simply that an individual needs to decrease the number of calories in order to reduce weight. An individual who exercises and loses weight can easily burn as much calories as he wants with different forms of exercises. This means that even if an individual indulges in bad dietary habits such as consuming higher number of calories, he/she can cut those extra calories by exercising. Exercising is even healthy because it does not require an individual to starve in order to lose weight. An individual who is on a diet tends to reduce weight be reducing the number of calories they consume each day. They do so because the limited amount of calories they consume, the higher will be their weight loss. Webb et al. states that in order to reduce at least 2 pounds in one particular week, an individual should reduce their calorie intake by 1000 calories (Webb et al., 2006). Some individuals cross the line of dieting an consume very low calories and this way of reducing weight is recognized as starving that has severe negative effects such as fatigue as well as irritability. Exercising is even the healthiest strategy of losing weight because it assists in losing more weight in a limited amount of time as compared to dieting. When an individual is dieting he/she decreases the intake of calories but does not reduce the amount of calories that he/she has already consumed over the years. On the other hand, exercising allows an individual to burn the excessive calories that an individual has consumed over time. Due to this an individual is able to burn more body fat by exercising as compared to dieting. Wu et al. conducted a study in which the researchers identified that the subjects were able to reduce 1.14 kg of excess weight when they were indulged in exercising and dieting as compared to dieting within a set time frame (Wu et al., 2009). Exercising is a much healthier strategy of losing weight as compared to dieting as it does not require an individual to forgo foods that an individual likes to consume. It does not even require an individual to starve and allows an individual to avoid the side effects of starving. It is even more effective because it helps in reducing more weight in a limited time period. Whats the relationship between healthy loss fat with gym and eat sleep well Sleep is one of the most significant components of human life even though many individuals do not have to luxury to even sleep for the minimum amount of required time. Loss of sleep of deprivation from sleep can cause several health issues and one of these issues is weight gain. On the other hand, attaining ample amount of sleep is considered as one of the best strategies of losing weight. There are various relationships between sleep and losing fat through gym exercises. One of the relationship between gym based weight loss and sleep is that gym based weight loss helps in reduction of body fat which allows an individual to sleep in a better manner. Tan et al. conducted a study on 163 individuals who were experiencing excess body fat. The researchers were able to identify that those individuals who were overweight were suffering from sleep disorder (Tan et al., 2015). This study suggests that if individuals involve in weight loss through exercises conducted at gym, they can gain relief from sleep disorders. A second relationship between sleep and losing body fat through gym is that sleep provides the energy to an individual that is required to exercise. Individuals who do not get enough sleep experience various health issues such as fatigue and tiredness. Afari et al. conducted a study in which the researcher identified that the condition of chronic fatigue syndrome is developed due to various causes and one of these cause is lack of sleep (Afari et al., 2014). This research suggests that since an individual experience fatigue due to lack of sleep, an individual may not be able to exercise well at the gym while trying to lose weight. A third connection between losing weight through gym and sleep is that exercising at the gym can cause sleep deprivation especially when an individual indulges in exercise just before going to bed. This is because when an individual exercises just before sleeping he/she may experience elevated levels of energy due to exercise and that may not allow an individual to sleep. According to Turner, an individual should not exercise at least 3 hours before sleeping as they may fail difficulty in attaining sleep due to elevated energy levels (Turner, 2013). There are various relationships between sleep and losing body fat through gym. Losing body fat through gym can help an individual in reducing their weight which in turn helps an individual sleep in a better manner. Furthermore, if an individual does not attain ample amount of sleep, they feel tired and fail to exercise. Lastly, hitting the gym a few hours before going to bed can even cause sleep deprivation.
