For that instance, this is the case when Evidence-Based Practice comes in. By definition, it refers to the integration of the given best systematic research evidence in relation to clinical expertise plus patient values (Nola, 2011). In accordance with research by Barker (2009), Evidence-Based Practice is beneficial to a registered nurse in the sense that it provides the current and best evidence that enable them to make important decisions regarding the care and the management of the given patients.

Furthermore, through the integration of evidence-based practice in health care by registered nurses, in accordance to a research conducted by Ellis (2000), patient’s outcomes increase to at least 20% better than when Evidence-based practice is not used. In conclusion, registered nurses required Evidence-Based Practice in the daily health care and management of the patients in order to improve their outcome.
