Opting for cosmetic surgery Anderson (2010) explains the tormenting journey of Stardom Hills who are the MTV stars that are said to have sucked in a party in Los Angeles. The painful journey includes obsessive fans, cocaine and extreme plastic surgery. These stars are obsessed with fame and other bodily issues where their appearance has become different than what they were few years ago. This provides evidence to the topic under investigation, which is the Transforming Body Project Response.

The author also brings about the issues of self-esteem in her stars where surgery seems to boost their self-stem and as a result become confident with their looks. One of the stars members is affected by what the author called body issues, in terms of self image that is said to have suffered because of what they call superficial trade and breast increasement which cannot be denied. Perfection is what the stars are up for, in order to continue with their film and TV career. Of all the MTV seasons, one of the stars called Patridge faces humiliation because of her image.

The article describes how filed teeth, flattened foreheads and painted bodies is a dream to many ladies. Miller (2009), explains that $ 13.2 billions is spent on cosmetic improvement in United States to obsession which is abnormal with beauty. This article explains that breast and noses are modified and reshaped in order to correct the flaws. All these procedures are meant to make them look young. Tummy and Lipsuction tucts also removes the fats which have accumulated with childbirth and age in addition to, Botos poisonous injections and face-lifts which stretch and paralyze the smooth skin.

Additionally, the article also explains how the Maya’s did excessive things in order to transform their looks, like investing in large wealth and undergoing a lot of pain in order to make themselves beautiful. The Maya perceived that they had to shine like the sun, because the god sun looked at them. They had to have eyes, which were crossed in order to resemble the Pakal, and their teeth shaped like T, to have an expression of squinter to draw attention to his face. By the time Pakal died, his teeth did not have any cavities and had 24 teeth.

The idea of people defying heredity and time, in terms of reshaping and changing their bodies is no longer a new thing, hence the article is in line with the topic under investigation, that is; the transforming Body Response. The author explains that, surgeons used to reshape their bodies, noses in order to disguise the signs of telltale syphilis, and after the Second World War 11, the surgeons had perfected their skills to help the injured patients and those who needed face-lifts to look good.
