There are expansions in the industrial area because the manufacturing of products presently takes less time. Globally, technology has become very vital. However, as much as it has enhanced living, it has also brought some challenges like global warming, urban smoke, and ozone depletion. The study seeks to outline the rationale between technology and global change.

Technology has played a very significant role and the transformations are evident in many areas around the planet. The first one is energy generation and consumption for both domestic and commercial use. Generally, power energy is used for warming and cooling our residences while in factories energy is essential in the production process. Currently, with energy-resourceful technology, individuals can employ a smaller amount of energy to get the same work done that before used very high energy levels. According to Brian and Gary, the use of efficient technologies has enormously contributed to saving money and energy (115). Technology has also led to new ways of generating energy such as wind, geothermal, solar, and bio-energy. Energy obtained through these methods is referred to as renewable energy. It is believed to have the technical ability to meet all energy requirements, be quick and simple to set up, be cost-effective, and be environmentally friendly. With the correct technologies in place, environmental pollution can enormously be cut down while at the same time assisting in job creation.

The second area that has recorded enormous transformation is the transport sector. With the sector tremendously expanding, its segment’s discharges have risen at a much faster pace in contrast to any other power-using sector over the earlier times. The major challenge, therefore, is how to enhance efficiency at the same time reducing discharge. Through technology, advances such as increased miles per gallon in all forms of transport and low–carbon petroleum are day-in and day-out developed (Brian and Gary 219). In addition, in days to come, a motor vehicle traveling miles would be very minimal due to new modes of transport that will use other forms of energy. The process will also entail moving via elegant expansion as well as embracing well-organized mass transportation schemes.

The third one is the drastic reduction in the use of fossil fuel particularly carbon-intensive petroleum to the use of less carbon-intensive ones. This can be seen in the many episodes of closing down petroleum plants all over the world. Additionally, there is no more construction of new petroleum industries as a way of avoiding carbon pollution from those industries (Brian and Gary 318). At present, there are underground studies on technologies that can eradicate carbon produced in such plants. Experimental projects to examine the practicability, as well as the worth of this technology for the power industry, are worth conducting.

Lastly, technology has greatly impacted studying and understanding climatic changes. Nations around the globe from the most industrialized to the least developed differ radically in the addition to the challenge of climate change. Therefore, it is the task of those states to confront the action. A fruitful international rule on climate variation must take into account monetary backing from wealthier states to underprivileged nations. The support is aimed at conversion to low-carbon expansion trails as well as to help them become accustomed to the impacts of climate adjustments (Brian and Gary 376). Appropriate mechanisms and technological apparatus need to be put in place in curbing climate variation. All nations should be taught about the significance of an unspoiled and healthy environment both for the current and prospective generations. Read More
