Sur Supervisor Application Essay I am Robert Daniels, an undergraduate majoring in finance in San Marcos I wouldlike to forward to the institution some of my aims of switching my major area from finance to accounting while making a reflection on the experience I have had in finance. In addition, I would like to outline some basic accounting benefits while focusing on my future expectations of joining in the field of accounts. I reached a decision to change my course after realizing that finance major has access to some accounting courses.

Accounting, I believe, has a broad application spectrum, and provides flexibility in terms of employment. Accounting has grown into an important element in career employment (Atrill, 51). There are varied benefits that are accrued from the accounting field, and these benefits have been upheld in recent years. Secretaries and auditors have benefited from accounting ideas and knowledge. While secretaries may employ the accounting ideas in managing some books of accounts, those concerned with the auditing process requires accounting ideas in determining the level of business integrity.

There has been rising need for accountability in handling finances using different accounting models. The need has been reinforced by some selected accounting cases that have occurred in accounting (Atrill, 62). Companies today are advocating for workers to possess basic accounting ideas. Furthermore, a number of personal benefits may be derived from the accounting ideas. Accounting skills provides a basis for reaching conclusive investment reasons. The financial class has helped me develop passion for business related courses.

Learning the finance accounting module inspired in me the urge to develop my skills in accounts. The class has equipped me with personal skills on responsible finance control while instilling in me the discipline of time management. The finance class, I believe, has played a great role in setting a foundation for my need to venture into the accounting field. While making comparison on some common elements between finance and accounting, I found that the two had some close commonalities in the way financial figures are analyzed (Atrill, 36).

I have both personal and career reasons for changing the nature of my course. I would like to use the field as a gateway to the management profession. Studying management accounting, I believe, will help me develop my knowledge in using accounting information in making plans and developing important business control framework ideas. The ideas will be vital in reaching conclusive managerial ideas (Atrill, 101). Learning economic computations will equip me with necessary skills of embracing cost effective solutions in solving organizational issue.

I may consider advancing my career beyond the post masters level. I strongly feel that accounting offers flexibility in advancing career compared to a field in finance. The knowledge in the new area of study, I believe, will build my analytical knowledge and help me view issues in a critical point of view.My main aim of application is to secure an admission for a masters finance program at the institution. The program, apart from helping in broadening my knowledge in accounting, will help me understand the varied elements that are employed in acquiring a strong business foundation.
