Global warming is the steady rise the earth’s average temperature (Kerr 26). Global warming leads to extreme weather conditions. Greenhouse gases contribute to the global warming situation. In some areas, extreme winter conditions are increasingly in quantity. In other areas, there is an increase in the number of extreme high temperatures. Some animals and plants cannot adapt to the changing temperature. When this happens, some animal and plant species will avoidably become extinct. Further, global warming produces damaging effects on the world’s environment. The IPCC group Climatologists affirms that global warming contributes to the increase in the number and intensity of hurricanes. Global warming increases the temperature of the world’s oceans. The warmer oceans generated more hurricanes. With hotter oceans, the hurricanes’ intensities rose to more life threatening levels, damaging more properties along the path of the encroaching avoidable hurricanes. Global warming leads to more floods. With more floods, more people will drown. The increasing number and intensity of the floods result to more damaging effects on the environment and the people living within such environment. More hurricanes will ravage the coastal areas of the world’s communities (Brevik 338). Furthermore, global warming leads to the rise in the worlds ocean levels. The hotter temperature melts the ice areas of the world. The melted ice areas lead to the water literally swallowing or taking away huge areas of many coasting communities around the world. The huge ice groups formed in Antarctica and Greenland melted into the nearby ocean. Consequently, several islands will be underneath the oceans’ water levels, constantly changing the world’s geographic picture. Specifically, the 20th century saw the water level rose 20 centimeters. A research conducted in 2003 affirmed global warming lead to the thermal warming of the oceans (Houghton 176). Moreover, global warming leads to more forest fires. Canada, Russia’s Siberian forests, and other Northern Hemisphere countries are experiencing the effects of global warming on their boreal forests. The temperature of the boreal forests in these areas rose to dangerous levels. The temperature rise reached as much as 4 degrees centigrade. With higher temperatures, more trees are dry. Dry trees an easily catch fire than wet trees. Consequently, the rise in the forest temperature triggered more forest fires. Global warming affects the survival of the forests. Some boreal forests may decline into grassland areas (Roberge 370). In addition, avoidable pollutants directly lead to the rise in global temperatures. Toxic carbon monoxide is the major cause of global warming. The exhaust of Cars, trucks, and other motor vehicles produce carbon monoxide gases. The carbon monoxide gases envelope the earth’s atmosphere. When the sun’s hot ultraviolet-laden rays enter the earth’s surface, the sun’s rays to normally bounce back into outer space. However, the thick carbon monoxide gases prevent he sun’s escaping rays from leaving the earth’s atmosphere. Consequently, the earth’s global temperature rises. This is known as the global warming phenomenon (Pittock 225). Further, people must reduce fossil fuel use by 50 percent to reduce global warming effects faster (McKibben281). Fossil oil is the main source of carbon monoxide. Fossil oil includes the black oil extracted from the earth’s interior. The amount of fossil oil within the earths’ crust is limited. Time will come when all the earth’s fossil oil wells will dry up. When this happens, people are forced to use other energy sources to make their lives more comfortable. However, people should not wait for that future time to arrive. People and communities must start using non-fossil oil energy sources today. Knowing the cause of global warming, it is easy to remedy the global warming effects. Fossil oil should be reduced or banned. The cars can use solar energy. Solar energy panel convert the sun’s solar energy to machine energy. The solar powered cars will reduce the carbon monoxide exhausts. The electricity generating companies must stop using fossil oil in the production of the communities’ electricity. Instead, the electricity-generating companies must use hydro (water) power. The companies can set up an electricity generating equipment within the community. Thermal energy is generated by waterfalls. The waterfalls turn the electricity generating equipment’s wheels. Consequently, electricity is produced. When this happens, carbon monoxide production is significantly reduced. The reduction reduces the global warming speed to manageable levels. Further, the community can use wind energy to produce electricity. A huge fan-like structure rotates ad wind passes through the wind equipment. The fan structure is class win turbine. Starting in the 1980s, the popularity of wind energy significantly increased. Prior to the setting up the costly wind turbines, a feasibility study must be conducted. The study will determine the amount of average electricity energy produced during a certain time period. The study will indicate which areas are best suited for the construction of the wind turbines. The cost of transporting the wind energy’s electricity elements is added to the feasible cost of constructing the wind turbines. Consequently, the wind energy produces electricity. The use of wind energy reduces the amount of fossil oil production of carbon monoxide gases. Consequently, global warming will decline to allowable levels. One of the reasons why wind energy is not popular is because certain communities do not have any wind that is strong enough to move the wind generators throughout the year (Tong 3). Further, the cutting of forest trees contributes to the global warming situation (Perritano 133). People and animals exhale the carbon dioxide gas. The photosynthesis science terminology emphasizes trees take in the carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide gases, cleaning the atmosphere of global warming gases. They convert the gases into oxygen. The world’s communities cut down huge areas of world’s forests in order to build homes and communities. Other communities used the cut forest trees to build wooden-laden homes. Others convert the cut down forest areas into farms. The people grow vegetables on the farms. The cutting down of the forest trees leads to the reduced conversion of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide gases back into life-giving oxygen. Scientists from the National Institute of Amazon Research reiterate the cutting down of trees increase the carbon monoxide gas quantities. Furthermore, increasing the world’s forest areas will significantly reduce global warming (Perritano 133). Applying logic to the oxygen to carbon monoxide ratio environment, an increase in the number of trees and plants will increase the conversion of carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide gases into oxygen, reducing global warming. Planting trees in more areas will help reduce global warming to controllable levels. Moreover, converting fossil fuel energy to thermal energy will reduce global warming. Thermal energy is energy from the earth’s crust. Hot steam coming from the earth’s crust is a good source of thermal energy. The hot steam is converted to electricity. However, some of the thermal energy escapes. Consequently, less than 100 percent of the thermal energy source beneficially creates electricity energy (Coley 6). Conclusion Based on the above discussion, global warming delivers significant unfavorably damage on the earth’s environment. Global warming increases the occurrence and intensity of fires, hurricanes, and floods on affected environments. Fossil oil is the main contributor to the continually avoidably rising global warming situation. Shifting to thermal energy, wind energy, and water (hydro) energy reduces global warming levels.
