Extract of sample "Reflection over Journal Experience"

I have learnt, through journal entries, that I have not been caring for the sustainability of the environment. But since I started writing journal, I have decided to change many aspects of my life, like taking a cloth bag to the grocery store instead of using plastic bags; using energy saver bulbs at home instead of tube lights for most of the time; putting off microwave and television instead of putting them on standby mode; using water bottles that are reusable; purchasing a car that has more mileage on gas; composting my grass clippings instead of putting them in plastic bags and throwing them away; turning off extra lights at night and also during the day; and, reusing things like office papers and clothes.  I want to do so because I have understood the importance of a sustainable environment. Hence, my journal writing has invoked sustainable thinking within me, which is good not only for the environment but also for me as a living being. Read More

...Reflection Journal 3 One finds the lesson on and lifestyles very enlightening and interesting especially the discussion on lifestyles of the old capitalist elite (Rothman 189). Contemporary society have found greater appeal in determining the lives of the rich, the famous, and of celebrities that media content focus so much on these topics. It was thereby revealing and illuminating that, as disclosed by Rothman and citing Gallo and Gallo (2002), “it might seem cynical to express sympathy for the children of the new rich, but some do experience real psychological problems” (Rothman 193). The time spent by famous parents working and earning a living takes most of their precious time away...

Practicum Experience Journal

...PRACTICUM EXPERIENCE JOURNAL Documentation can be defined as the keeping and handling of records. Nursing documentation can be broadly defined as the process of handling patients’ records. This is a process that consumes approximately 15–25% of the nurse’s work day (Resnick & Mitty, 2009). It involves five main stages that are assessment, diagnostic reasoning, planning, implementation and evaluation. During my practicum, I observed various aspects of nursing documentation that diverged from the standard aspects of the process. Although the documentation is done electronically, it is very redundant since most of the operations are done as a formality rather than as essential operations. This was...
