? Functional Department Participation Plan ID Lecturer Within the Information Technology industry, the business governance plan is of utmost significance. This is because the business governance plan sets the foundation stone for a number of developments within the realms of the business and indeed the organization in the long run. There is a great amount of learning that can gained from the business governance plan for the sake of the organization which at times is difficult to measure. However, for the sake of simplicity it is always desirable to support how this business governance plan will be implemented across the board and what its ramifications are with regards to the department incorporations (Kay, 1995). The different functional departments that might play an important role within the drafting of the business governance plan shall include the human resources management department, the legal department, the finance department, the marketing and advertising department and the supervisory role of the Board of Directors within an organization. This paper shall pinpoint the exact basis of the business governance plan and how it is implemented across the board under the functional departments, the roles of the relevant departments and the embedded link with the Information Technology concerns. It is needed that the Information Technology domains play an important role within the chalking up of the business governance plan so that the success points could easily be understood and the weaknesses within the relevant realms are also highlighted upon at length. These grey areas would be taken care of for future implications that might arise at a later stage. The business governance plan is an elaborate plan that takes into consideration some of the most significant pointers related with running a business in entirety. However what is important to note is the fact that this business governance plan would not be able to meet success if the people in the varied departments of the organization are unwilling to do their jobs properly (Blair, 1996). The different departments within any organization are dependent on the business governance plan in essence to bring out the value and quality for the sake of the organization in the long run. However these are important understandings that need to be reached upon because these manifest the basis to remain one step ahead with regards to the competitive businesses and in the end, achieve success for the organizations that are being discussed about. The business governance plan entails of a list of important undertakings that the business regime has in place. The governance mechanisms are highlighted, which signifies the extent to which a business can proceed to, and thus find its truest basis in the long run. What is required now is a vision to go above the top and attain the end objectives of the business governance plan so that success for the sake of the organization is attained without any hindrances. The business governance plan is always a comprehensive plan which lists down the pointers that shall bring about the strengths which are enclosed within a business realm. It takes care of the patterns which would essentially help the business grow as a whole and that too in the long run. Within the human resources management department of an Information Technology industry, the significance of the business governance plan is such that the department has a close liaison with the top management domains. This helps shape up the tasks and activities of the department more than anything else. It also makes the tasks easier for the people who mean business within the organization. The human resources management department is indeed the window for the employees to get in touch with the organization and thus the department should make it a point to talk to them as and when required. Instead a proactive approach towards one another is significant because they will embody the basis of eventual success that the organization has. The human resources management department should exactly know where the employees must work in unison so that they could attain success and thus form the basis of their activities and tasks in cohesion with one another. They need to tell the employees what the organization thinks of them and how well they would be compensated at the end with the incorporation of hard work and sheer commitment (Nelson, 1997). These are significant understandings which shall draw upon success for the sake of the organization of an Information Technology industry and these must be given priority by the people who are in positions of influence and authority. The role of the human resources management department under such a consideration is therefore a vital one as it establishes the link between the business governance plan and its implementation. Moving ahead, the role of the business governance plan in the legal department of an Information Technology industry helps solve the legal issues that have cropped up within an organization. It takes care of the legitimate issues which have come to the fore, and which shall be resolved with due consideration from the organizational top heads. These understandings touch upon the significance of having a proper business governance plan in place so that the legal unit has no difficulty in analyzing the role of the organization both from a short term perspective as well as in the long run scheme of things (Robinson, 2007). There is no doubt that a sound business governance plan within an Information Technology industry would embody the basis of bringing about sanity within the working dynamics of the organization and resolve the disputes and contradictions that are taking place on an organizational level. Also what this will do in the long term is to build a solid relation with the internal publics who will know exactly how to deal with related issues and problems in the nick of time. The business governance plan covers the clauses which are understood within the legal domains, as these highlight the need to remain one step ahead of the legal debates and discussions. For any organization in the time and age of today, it is of paramount significance to make sure that the legal aspects are sound and comprehensive in their own right so that no hiccups do come up at any stage within the organizational future. When one speaks of the finance department within an Information Technology industry, the role of the business governance plan becomes even more pertinent to comprehend. This is because the budgetary issues are tackled in a head on manner and such implications form the central focus of a business governance plan. The finance department plays its due role within the drafting of the business governance plan which would eventually set many clauses for the business to be run in the first place. These understandings are significant because these suggest the pathway to fix budgets for different tasks within the business enterprise as well as to discern the exact basis of success that is achieved within the organization’s different units and divisions (Barrett, 1995). One must extract the true essence of a business governance plan and how it brings in fresh energy and vigor amongst the people who are working under the financial division. These comprise of the different factors which will talk about the long term accomplishments of the organization as well as pinpoint the basis of asking for more funds in the future. The business governance plan is dependent on the steps that are taken by the finance department as the role is necessary in the completion of the due tasks. However if these tasks are not given enough funds to showcase how success could be achieved within their ranks, this would mean more problems for the entire organization in times of chalking out the business governance plan and its ultimate execution and implementation. It is sound to state here that within the marketing and advertising department of an organization which works under an Information Technology industry, there is a dire need to propagate the right message at the right time to enact a business governance plan which is comprehensive, elaborate and includes just about everything that is required for the business (Beeler, 1994). The marketing and advertising concerns specifically focus on the tangent of message propagation and across different channels and vehicles which would essentially help in forming up the business governance plan as is so required. The business governance plan also takes its roots from the ways and means through which marketing and advertising department reaches out to the people, both inside the organization with the assistance of the human resources management department and outside customers through advertising, personal selling, trade promotions and direct selling, etc. The business governance plan is usually elaborate because it deals with the select audiences who would be targeted in the coming times and their roles and incorporations are also understood before this business governance plan is drafted in the first place. Hence the Information Technology industry pays a great deal of significance on the pointer of marketing and advertising department for bringing out a solid business governance plan and then finding ways and means through which work could be monitored in the future. One of the most important bodies within an organization is the Board of Directors. This unit oversees the work as it is and finds out the different reasons through which success is seen and deciphered. The Board of Directors always takes the executive decisions which would shape up the norms of the organization and would therefore be termed as a point of supreme advantage. The Board of Directors gives the final call on the business governance plan and must be seen in such a light that there is immense importance on having the most apt decisions undertaken rather than drawing up a flawed business governance plan (Arthur, 2001). The Board of Directors would take decisions but must not stop short of deciding the fate of the business as and when required. There is a good amount of debate regarding the positives and negatives regarding these decisions. The political ramifications of the decisions thus made within the business governance plan would be such that there can be resentment amongst the people present within the different departments and indeed the entire organization. In essence, the concept of accountability is related with the ways and means through which the organizational employees are able to interact with one another and thus come out clean as per their respective actions. Accountability therefore touches upon those aspects which are usually not covered by other domains. These encompass the need for having a clear but basis as per the employees’ manifestations and their representative actions (Kaen, 2003). It also accounts for their truthfulness that they need to embody within their day to day dealings, actions and undertakings. Complex organizational structures mar the very essence of accountability since the networking hierarchies are in such a way that there is improper level to level touching within work regimes amongst the employees. They seem to be on a missing curve on most of the occasions and hence they have no idea as to how and where they should put down their actions for the betterment of the organization in the long run. Within the complex scenario of this company within the case study, the accountability premise seems to be on a constantly missing domain. This is because there are so many networks going on within the organizational levels and also the fact that the organization has broken down into sub-organizations has made matters tough to comprehend in entirety. In the end, it would be sound to state that the business governance realms require that the communication is done in such a way that there are no loopholes and shortcomings within the length of the corporations and the government, and more so within the Information Technology realms. What this suggests is the fact that the business governance matters must have a very set hierarchical setting in place so that any issues that might arise within the future are taken care of in an adequate way. All said and done, a business governance plan within the Information Technology domains is significant towards the understanding of a pertinent business. References Arthur, D., 2001.
