Updating your knowledge and skills of using latest technology always makes you an attractive prospect for the future employers and current employers also would not want to let you go easily
1. Forum Memberships: Become a member of the online forums that are available. Today there are online forums for every conceivable profession. Become a member and try to participate actively in the forums. Also whenever you are in need of a job, it will definitely help to inform the forums of your skills, knowledge and expertise – you can generate a lot of references to openings this way.
2. Company web sites: Identify those organizations that will look out for the skills and knowledge that you have. Identify the web sites of these companies. Most web sites today have a “Careers” page in form or the other. Visit those pages and see if you find any openings that match your skills and knowledge. If they do not have any – you may actually send a mail to the Human Resources Department – making a case of why they need to hire you or even consider you. This is a good method of getting you a job.
3. Job Sites: There are whole load of job sites that exist today – like monster among others. What you need to do is to register with these job sites and leave your brief profile with contact details. Lot of company recruiter’s subscribe to these sites to look for people. When they find your profile – they will contact you for an updated profile, this is when you can actually make a case for yourself.
