Seeing even mothers carrying their young babies and people not afraid of being arrested sends another message. The people are not ashamed of their action though sorry for the damage of property. Instead, they are proud that at least their voices were heard and they are ready to do it again if that’s the way to be listened to.
When all these factors are taken into consideration, I think it could wrong to classify the rioters as criminals. Even though, they engaged in activities that broke the law, it was simply because they had to act for somebody to realize they exist and services and opportunities.
