Journal 27th Feb, 2340 I am a technology enthusiast. Today marked my first experiment at the Berkeley Robotics & Human Engineering Laboratory. Robots are have replaced human activities in factories, offices, battle fields, rescue mission, and is a source of entertainment. Technology seems to have taken control of the world this century. In the lab, I working with a team to come up with a unique Intelligent Assist Device (IAD) called Magic gloves. The device has wireless sensors that can read and calculate any external material that someone intends to pick up. Interestingly, the device has the capacity to measure the force at different parts of an object. The handle can know how much force is required to lift an object. This was fascinating! As time moved by, the lab became my new home; I loved every independent project there. How I wish I could get access to such stuffs often.
No single day passes without me passing by the game park, to watch the remaining species of birds and enjoy the relaxing sound of the three waterfalls. Can there be robotic birds, waterfalls, and trees? I bet not. And maybe never! While appreciating technological prowess, I have developed compassion with nature! I want to protect it because most robotic machines rely on command language. They can end up destroying naturally existing creatures. This must have been a good observation for today I guess! Who really thinks in such a direction?
As I head home in the evening, I pass by the vendor machine to pick a cold drink! I sit quietly on a bench nearby to enjoy my drink. Do I love children again? How I wish I could join them in riding their robotic toy vehicles! Unfortunately I cannot because I am past that age! My eyes are left to admire and enjoy their activities. Read More

This empowers the patient as he or she can now have a greater latitude in taking care of himself or herself because preventing disease is more affordable than treatment. The latter often disenfranchises the have nots and makes health care unjust as social epidemiology suggests that the distribution of disease, impairment and general health care issues are more concentrated in the lower strata of society where people in lower classes have higher rates of mortality and disability. While we agree that this should not be the case, concrete action has to be made to make heath care equitable and universal. And central to this effort of making health care more equitable and universal are nurses whose roles became more demanding now as t...

...Average Average Given the numbers 1 1, $2, $2, $2, $3 and $14, the mean is $3, mode is and median is $2. The use of the mean as a measure of central tendency has its advantages such as it being the most popular measure used and it is useful when comparing sets of data (Oswego City School District Regents Exam Prep Center , n.d.). The major drawback of using the mean is that it is affected by extreme values. The advantage of using the mode is that it is not affected by extreme values. Its disadvantage is that there can be more than one answer. Also, when there is no value that is repeated in the data, all the values will be the mode; thus, it becomes irrelevant (Oswego City School District Regents Exam Prep Center , n.d...

... ‘Daughter has right to die against parents wishes by Art Caplan Put yourself in parent’s shoes (why are they thinking the way they are) According to Petrieflom (1), Grace’s father Man Ho Lee, is the pastor of the Antioch Missionary Church in Flushing, N.Y.  He and his wife, Jin Ah Lee, were not okay with their daughter’s decision. This is because as Christians and believers in God, God is the only one who can take somebody’s life. Therefore, whatever Grace was suggesting is against God’s commandments since it is considered as an attempt to commit suicide. Their religious stand makes them see her request as satanic. They actually warned her that her decision would take her direct to hell after death. Although they all know that Grace...

Different life

... Write about an aspect of life that you imagine would be different on this planet than they are on present dayEarth. Imagine a life on earth without the presence of moon - it would not be the same as it is today. Moon forms tides. It not true that without moon there won’t be any tides at all. Tides are formed by both sun and moon and therefore there would be tides on earth caused by sun but these tides would be less than those caused by the moon. The reason behind the formation of tides on earth is that tides are formed as the result of distance between the earth and other bodies. The moon is closer to earth than the sun, and therefore it has more tidal effect on earth in comparison to the sun resulting in more tides. In short, without...
