Personal ment I am considering a career as a network engineer. I am a diligent individual who is self-organised with the ability to resist stress. My dedication and passion while pursuing electrical and electronics engineering serves as proof of my hard work. As a student, I prioritised excellence in everything I did with a special focus on academic work. The result of it is that I was one of the first students to hand in the complete final course project, something that impressed my project instructors and supervisors.

In addition, I was among the top students in my class. Since then, I have always sought opportunities to improve on my learning through practical experience in the application of the skills learnt at college. Even though I do not have sufficient in the field due to the fact that I recently completed my course, I would like to take a challenging position as a network engineer. Specifically, I would like to gain hands on experience on network systems as I am very interested in the operation of networks.

It is best for me to work in an environment of networking systems as I enjoy the work. This will tap into my creativity and make me establish new and innovative ways of handling the job. I do not wish to make the lack of experience an impediment to my career development. Instead, I wish to turn into a source of impetus for success in career development. Once established as a network engineer, I would be of benefit to the society by exploiting my talents and experience to the improvement of the society.

I have already had a wonderful experience working as a volunteer in a program where I was involved in the installation of computer equipment in local schools. When I advance as a network engineer, I will assist to install more of such systems in schools at affordable fees in order to give back to the society.I have demonstrated the ability to be innovative in the exploitation of knowledge acquired while studying electrical and electronics engineering. My friends and I developed a unique application that created an information exchange network without involving the internet.

We were able to sell this application to a local company and earned a tidy first income from it. I believed that if I am exposed to a more favourable environment, I would be able to come up with more innovations as a network engineer to help make the society a better place for everyone.Putting my skills into practice has also enabled me to work effectively as a member of a team. For example, when working on the innovative application, we used to have difficulty arriving at a consensus. However, I learnt that in order for a team to be successful, it is beneficial to sometimes compromise and check on individual ego.

Team work entails respect and consideration of the opinion of every member of the group. Before I actually appreciated the true value of team work, we used to disagree just to show whose ideas were best. Fortunately, we came up with dispute resolution mechanisms to sort out our differences. From then, I no longer had bitter disagreements with a particular friend who almost became an enemy due to rivalry. This has established confidence in me and convinced me that I can blend in a team to deliver desired results and exceed expectations.

Since the success of networking is highly dependent on the ability to work in a team, it is my sincere belief that I will put my skills to the best use working in a networking environment.I also take keen interest to ensure that I do faultless work. It is my priority that the work I do is faultless. This was demonstrated in the functioning of the application I developed with friends. When the application was employed by a customer and failed to work, I was determined to investigate the source of the malfunction and correct it.

I eventually established that the problem was as a result of the combination of client malfunctioning equipment with our systems. I was able to advice accordingly and the problem was sorted. This encouraged me to always be keen to ensure that systems are reliable and that it is possible to audit and establish the source of errors. Acting promptly is important if losses are to be minimised or eliminated in the work environment. My confidence as an engineer also improved and from then, I begun to have bigger dreams of what I could accomplish if I had the right opportunities.

Above all, it strengthened my resolve to work hard and deliver to clients beyond what they expect from my work. These values perfectly fit my choice as a network engineering professional since the job is demanding and requires hard work and passion.If my previous accomplishments, experience, and passion are taken into consideration,it is clear that I can scale new heights working as a network engineer. I have a burning desire to advance in this subject. The desire has enabled me to always prepare myself for success by keeping up with the latest information in the field.

I have constantly sought to improve my knowledge by reading widely to widen my knowledge base. In addition, I have also improved my communication skills in order to succeed in engaging with people and to learn new skills.Graduating with excellent results from the university will set the path for me to excel in the field of network engineering. If given a chance, I will make rapid progress and fulfill my dreams of being one of the best network engineers.
