Extract of sample "A Reflection on Personal Life"

A Reflection on Personal Life I was born in the village of Sacramento, the capital of California on 2nd may 1993. My Mom told me that on the day of my birth, our grandfather was hospitalized because of heart attack. When I was four months old, he died. I wish I could play with him, as he was very happy at my birth. For the children, mind theory describes the feelings of children as they compare their thoughts to others negatively [Ber14]. Therefore, I feel it that may be I became the cause of my grandfather’s illness. I am the youngest child in my family. I have one brother and one sister, both are elder to me. I love my parents; they are the employers of education department for many years. When I was five, we shifted from Sacramento to the Mexico City. In 1999, when I was 6, I went to the village of my grandparents in Sacramento with my whole family. We went there for the Christmas celebrations and specially to see my parents’ old house in Sacramento. My parents fell in love in their early age living in the same village. The memories of visiting the village are very beautiful and touching. Our cousins and other relatives were very happy to see us during the Christmas holidays, as we never celebrated the event with them previously. I liked the social gathering system there to welcoming the guests very warmly. My sister felt boredom there, but I enjoyed a lot. May be, as a child I enjoyed it by playing with children and receiving gifts from Santa and my elder sister could not feel the charms of childhood as I did. Socio-cultural theory describes these effects of human interactions in the society in result of cultural and social surroundings. Culture plays an important role in the development processes of the human beings [Ber14]. After coming back to home, I missed the company of my relatives and the village life; those were very energetic and delightful for me. I got admission in a new school, when I was 12 years old. In the growing age, I found my teeth were little crooked. Before joining the new school, I did not feel it as a fault for my body image, but some bully student of the school exposed it in a harsh manner. I was so depressed on the first day of this realization. I stopped to smile openly by hiding the bad image of my teeth. Mostly, I prayed to have beautiful teeth in the Church. I was a sensitive child and did not like to share my sad feelings with my parents. However, after a few stressful months, I accepted the reality of my teeth but could not mingle with everyone to avoiding any taunting behavior. These effects are reflected in the Cognitive Theory described by the thinking of the people, which focuses on the changes overtime; thoughts and expectations of humans affect their actions. Physical developments influence the ways of body-make-ups, brain activities, work of senses to sleep, eat, drink, and living behaviors of the human beings. In class 8th, when I was 15, I felt that I was gaining my body weight very swiftly. My clothes were tightening day by day. I was tensed of gaining extra weight. In that year, I struggled to get slim by not taking enough foods to live. My mother felt it my behavior that I was skipping the dinners. She got conscious about my negative dietary habits. When she asked the reason of skipping the dinners, I cried to lose the extra weight of my fat body. My father took it seriously and suggested me to take exercise daily. He got a membership card of a city Fitness Centre for me to go there every day for physical exercise. I was confused to go there first day, but became relaxed after joining it daily. The reason of my relaxation that there were many more fat people, who were exercising happily and no one, was embarrassed or feeling shy. The fitness center specifically made for the adults, so I found new friends who looked like me. Psychoanalytic Theory is linked to the stages of human development to hold the unconscious and irrational drives since the childhood originations. These stages are divided into eight development processes, i.e. trusting vs. mistrusting, autonomy vs. doubt and shame, initiatives vs. guilt, industry vs. inferiority, identity vs. confusing role, intimacy vs. isolation, generatively vs. stagnation, integrity vs. despairing[Ber14]. I was quite confident in the age of 18, when I was attending the last courses of high school. These two years were very important for my whole life. I studied very confidently and as an active student. During the Fitness Centre joining, (I was 17 at that time), I got a job as a nanny on three hours wage rate. I got rid of my frustrations and worries for having a nature loving company of children. My class reports were better than the early classes, my parents were very happy to see my progress in the studies. My high school studies were completed at the age of 18 with “A” grade. I was pleased on the day of my final high school results. However, some students irritated me in the start of school days, but everything got fine with the passage of time. I learnt there to grow up confidently; even my important stages of life were familiarized in that period. When I was 19, I started my graduation studies from the “University of New Mexico.” I was very happy to be there as a student of BBA. The faculty of the university is excellent in teaching and research techniques. The environment of the university is very diligent for the students, as it is the top third institution of the business studies of the country. After completing my graduation, I will start up my career as a professional manager in any organization. In April 2013, I had worked in an organization as an internee and have gotten a part time job there. Cognitive developments seek the new ways to understand the issues intellectually. Cognitive development is useful to analyze the problem-solving skills, performance of the memory, and the intelligence of the human beings [Ber14]. I am very hopeful for a bright future. Social development is an easy way of communication to the loved ones for whole life through positive interactions [Ber14]. My parents are happy to see me as a competitive businessperson in the coming years. In these days, I am researching on international trade and its effects on developed and developing countries. Three group members are the part of my research project with the help of a noble professor’s guidance. We are also analyzing the foreign students’ economies background to learn more about the market competitions and the marketing strategies. Bibliography Ber14: , (Berger), Read More
