Building Technical Communication Skills - Essay Example

Online Journal Reflection The job of a technical communicator is something that I now consider to be one of the most important duties and positions in a company that is tasked with sharing information with people either within a given field of expertise, or with the public in general. I have come to understand by watching the video, that my primary task is ensure that the information I have will become usable and accessible to the others who also need the information in order to help my organization advance to the next level of proficiency.

Unlike other communicators though, I will not be using only words to do my job and that is what I fear the most. That I need to combine technology and words in order to get my message across. But the video also gave me the confidence to know that combining the power of words and technology will not be a difficult task provided that I am concentrated and dedicated to my assigned task. Sure there will be frustrating moments when technology and words will clash, but I am training to prevent or avert such disasters.

My main concern should and will always be the merging of the two communication tools in order to support the development of technology and understanding among all levels of society and professional sectors.
