Murderer’s Mind al Affiliation) Thesis: A murder’s mind entails a lot of issues play along in the mind of a murderer. Though murder has been perceived to be a moral issue or a sheer crime that particular individuals engage in, other compounded factors such as psychological, social and genetics play a greater role in define such mind. Focus of the study of what goes in the mind of a murderer should surpass the traditional theoretical arguments that are saturated with myths and stereotypes.

Instead, reliance should be on broad examination of cultural, psychological, and sociological as well as genetics as the key contributors of the mind of a murderer. I. Neurological studies suggest a number of factors to be behind violence among serial killers A. Violence among children may be attributed to brain damageB. Physical and mental torture of children may contribute to delinquency among themC. There is a clear association between the serial killers and mental factors such as brain damage, mental illness, extended paranoia as well as lack of sympathy. II. Psychiatrics have their own view on what goes on in the mind of a murderer. A. Neurologically impaired people are not always dangerous people.

There are many other factors behind violence in the themB. Symptoms associated with neurological diseases such as paranoia, impulsiveness, and poor judgment may propagate danger in neurologically impaired people when they have experienced torture. III. Characterization of a serial killerA. A serial killer may be motivated by the motive that they have with the killingB. The technique serial killers use may isolate them from other normal killersC. Serial Killers isolate themselves from the rest through the manner of torture they take their throughD.

Place of killing is a significant factor to the serial killers IV. ConclusionA murderer’s mind is defined by not only the moral and the criminal aspect of human being but also salient factors like genetics, social and psychological factors. Examining such mind should put into consideration all these factors. When research does not appreciate how the murderer’s mind may be influence by social, genetics and psychological factors, then the credibility of such study may be put in question.
