English Events Had It and Improve My English Language Learning English and other languages as a second language is hard for most people. For instance, when I came to United State of America in 2010, I experienced tough moments and significant alteration on my lifetime. I came to USA to learn English, and get to know the culture and achieve my bachelor’s degree; in fact, I kept wondering how I will learn English language in a short period. Therefore, I decided to make friends and this became my starting point, at the time, when I was living in Minneapolis.

I had enrolled at ESL and lived near it, by renting an apartment with two friends from Saudi Arabia; as well, we all come from the same city in our country. One day we agreed to invite some of our neighbors at our apartment for dinner. This differ offered us a chance to know each other; in fact, we also had a chance to familiarize with our cultures. They were teachers of English, layer, photography, and nurse. When I met my neighbors during this dinner, I did not know how to communicate eloquently in English; in fact, I had to rely on using body language.

They were laughing at me when I tried to express my opinions and thoughts in a conversation. Three months later, I began to develop comprehensive sentences and gained ability to express my ideas in English. My neighbor, who taught English, assisted me significantly. She brought particular story books written in English, and several cards that had English vocabularies. Apparently, this contributed significantly to my body of knowledge and acquisition of numerous vocabularies that I utilize during my conversations.

Joe is a photographer from United State of America; I joined him in a trip to the Missaipy River, which is nearby to our residence. We took certain pictures with him for a nearby waterway; in fact, it was during summer, and we were enjoying the pleasant weather. We discussed several objects about our culture and theirs. First question that I asked him was ’do I have an oil at my home?’ he laughed at me because he was surprised at the question. After two months, I decided to transfer from the St.

Paul Seattle, WA, and the reason this decision was to settle with my friends; in fact, they had told me about the weather, which was enjoyable over there. I enrolled to the same college for English, which is ESl, and made friends from difference’s countries. Our instate start from 9 at morning until the 3 clock at noon. So after that we hanged out at the malls, coffee shops, and friend’s apartments; besides, walking at the sea. For instance, I vividly remember one moment when we walked into a coffee shop, which had led walls and elegant chestnut brown tables in its small area.

At this moment, the weather was chilly outside the coffee shop; hence, this made it to be filled with warmth and small talks from the other customers, while a sweet smell of vanilla wafted in the air. On the other hand, if you go to the Seattle beach, you will see the hall downtown from there; actually it is lovely scenery. In this case, lovely scenery refers to the magnificent, big blue ocean’s waves, which crash against each other, and the view of the seagull, which fly delightfully in circles.

So hanging out in these places with friends gave me a chance to learn English, and to practice the language. Several months later, I accomplished my purpose by finishing my English courses, and applied for Indiana State University. My scholarship was denied, due to increasing number of people from Saudi Arabians Studying at Indiana State University. At that time, I took my vacation and I departed back to my home country to spend quality time with my family. After several months, I got admission from MNSU, when I came to America during spring in 2012.

I took English course with DR, Techney, who helped me a lot during the first semester, in recovery of my English language. In conclusion, my English was improving due to several influences and experiences I had during traveling, relationships when I enrolled to MNSU. Besides, since I enrolled at MNSU, I have improved significantly. I have to talk more in English and use words to express communicate and express my feeling. Moreover, I read several books in Mechanical Engineering, which are written in English.
