The Fire Protection design Report has been developed to give a consolidated /coordinated system approach to the fire suppression and fire protection features for a student HUB building consists of three floors (Ground, first, and second floor).The primary objective of this design report is to give a detailed description of how the Fire protection and Life safety Features and any other building features afford the varying levels of fire protection contained in the BSI British Standards BS 9999:2008 – Code of practice for the fire safety in the design, management and use of buildings, and according to the Building Regulations 2000 - Approved Document B 2013The fire protection report addresses, structural integrity, Fire Resistance features available within the premises, installed fire protection systems and equipment, access, water supply, emergency services, vegetation management, and defense space.

The proposed Student Hub Building demonstrates compliance with the applicable Fire Regulations including but not limited toBuilding Regulations 2000 - Approved Document B 2013,Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 20055499 Pt 1:2002 – Graphical symbols and signs. Safety signs, including fire safety signs;BS 5266-1:2005 – Emergency lighting. Code of practice for the emergency lighting of premises;BRE Report 187 – External Fire Spread: Building Separation and Boundary DistancesBSI British Standards BS 9999:2008 – Code of practice for fire safety in the design, management, and use of buildings,and other equivalent standards and regulationsThe document will be adopted as a basis for architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and fire protection systems drawing and document preparation.

GENERAL PROJECT DESCRIPTIONProposed ProjectThe project the construction of a Student Hub for a service library, which includes three floors. It provides services and facilities for approximately 1368 students. In this building will be a proximately 31member of staff providing a total of occupant capacity 1369 persons. The student HUB building consists of three floors (Ground, first and second floor).
