Joon Ho Joon Ho has always been a jolly His happy disposition, along with his kinesthetic nature, has helped him to develop higher potentials. Linguistically, Joon Ho has progressed fast and continues to be inquisitive. Similar to the previous term, he checks with the teacher for instructions in order to complete his tasks correctly. He can now follow 2 part instructions esasily and shows ability to follow 3 part instructions. Soon enough he will find it easier to do assigned tasks without close supervision. Remarkably, Joon Ho has become more responsive to challenges and activities, especially group tasks. He now finds it easier to cooperate with others on assigned tasks. In particular, he has improved in class discussion, story-telling, and describing his own drawings. Although he still lacks some self-confidence, he has learned to be more independent and experimental. He has progressed a lot in recognizing letters and sounds. He is also capable of word association, and while he associates more with the people in his environment, he expands his vocabulary. To help him furhter, we will monitor his speech more closely and give him activities that help to develop his self-confidence. Joon Ho has also shown improvements in mathematics. He has mastered counting up to ten, sorts objects based on attributes. Other numberical concepts nevertheless need more emphasis, such as “more and less” and “first and last”. Activities that involve such concepts may be emphasized at home or outside environment in order to obtain mastery. Evidently, Joon Ho has very well developed psychomotor activities, both fine motor and gross motor skills. This term, he displayed further improvement. He can now trace different lines, climb the stairs individually, build 12-block towers, cut shapes, and draw the basic human figure. Joon Ho prefers new activities to challenge him. He learns a lot from discovery learning, and displays leadership by having the initiative to clean up and guide other children during play and science activities. Such traits are commendable. He often voices out valuable insights whenever outdoor activities are in progress. He also explores textures and shapes of the things he finds in nature. Joon Ho demonstrates improvement in many aspects. As his teachers, we are very proud to be part of his progress. We hope that he continues to explore more and widen his knowledge of different things. We also thank him for being very observant and curious because such attitudes promote better learning outcomes not just for himself but for everyone in the class. Jamie Jamie is the kind of student with a very interesting personality. He is very inquisitive, active, socially developed, and emotionally responsive. Jamie’s language ability increases more each day. He is able to take part in story-telling and discussions, can talk about his drawing, follow 2 and 3 part instructions, and initiate conversation with others. His curiosity leads him to connect with others, especially with his peers. He usually expresses his thoughts well and shares insights that his classmates can often benefit from. His responses to questions could lead others thinking harder, thus with Jamie around, class discussions are livelier and more challenging. Jamie also shows improvement in academic knowledge, yet still has to improve more in counting numbers from 1 to 10. Nevertheless, his creative skills can be relied on to assist in memorizing concepts. In addition, Jamie has improved psychomotor skills. He has better grasp of objects and do creative projects that display his fine motor skills. Specifically, he amazed the class with his drawing and information about his family. He can now form 12-block towers, thus indicating improvement in gross motor skills and logic. He has also improved his handwriting and further efforts can still be done for better speed and accuracy. He displays a heightened curiosity about the things and people around him, and usually takes part in learning new things and concepts through discovery and cooperative learning. His love for discovery has not waned; it even increased more each day. As a learner, he works very well with peers both as a leader and member, thus contributes a lot to the cognitive and social development of other students. Jamie’s social skills are incredible. He can easily mix up with others. He displays cultural sensitivity and responsiveness to the needs of his peers. When in the playground, he expresses concern for others, and has a high level of tolerance for individual differences. Overall, Jamie has made a lot of progress and excels much in social and linguistic intelligence. His presence makes the learning environment more challenging and interesting. We hope that he continues to be a good boy with much caring and concern for others. Jamie, we are very proud to have you as part of the Yellow class. Joanne Joanne has made a lot of progress both socially and academically. Her performance has definitely become better, and she has shown the ability to shine. Linguistically, Joanne is more able to follow 2 and 3 part teacher instructions. She can also express herself well, especially as regards her family, thus motivating other children to share their own experiences as well. Moreover, she shows keen interest in reading stories and other forms of literature. In the next quarter, we will include more literature activities to further enhance her memory and help her note details. In a nutshell, Joanne shows an example of a caring individual. At her young age, she demonstrates cultural understanding and gender sensitivity, which may not be expected of children her age. Moreover, her stories about her younger brother reflect her sense of responsibility and caring nature. If this trait will continue, Joanne will excel much in handling people and resolving conflicts among people in her future professional environment. Joanne’s knowledge of numbers has likewise increased. She can recite numbers 1 through 10 but more practice is needed for mastery. Giving her exercises on colors and letting her explore games of different shapes and sizes can serve as follow up activities at home to improve her mathematical and logical ability As of now, with her receptive ability, Joanne shows the ability to overcome challenges including creating individual projects that involve psychomotor ability such as cutting, writing, and drawing. With more exercises, there is no doubt that she will find it easier to perform various academic tasks in no time. Practicing at home such as doing small projects for the family may help to hone her skills more. Joanne’s growing independence is another positive aspect of her development as an individual. The way she carries herself in the playground, doing things without assistance, signifies her strong ability to cope with the challenges in her environment. Her motor gross development has increased more lately along with her initiative to play with other children. Academically, Joanne will benefit more with exercises that hone her fine motor skills. Additionally, activities that challenge her imagination and creativity will prove effective to let her shine more. As a part of the yellow class, Joanne is treasured for her friendly nature and sensitivity to the needs of others. Martina Martina’s happy disposition and articulateness make her a noteworthy part of the class. Her presence really adds joy in the classroom atmosphere. Martina’s language development is ever growing. She is now able to follow 2 and 3 part teacher instructions. Her vocabulary and language construction demonstrate her ability for creative and rational thinking that is advanced for her age. Allowing her to join enrichment activities will be beneficial to further develop her communication skills and make her a good leader someday. Martina’s social skills have improved a lot and she has shown more effort to manage manipulative activities. Specifically, although she may have difficulty in some fine motor activities, she enjoys activities that allow her to work with others, especially her friends. She also enjoys activities that challenge her creativity and leadership. Her sense of leadership shows as other students rely on her for information. Martina has shown better progress in all aspects, both in terms of academic and personal development. Notably, she has improved in doing things on her own, socializing with others, displaying interest in new activities, and finishing her tasks. She also shows more independence in what she does. Time will come and she will be able to complete tasks and routines totally independent of others. With better guidance in other aspects such as organizing things, following rules, and toileting, Martina will soon prove to be a holistically developed individual. Martina shines best during role-playing and group activities. Her waterloo is mathematics. Thus, we will work at giving more math and other academic exercises using cooperative learning strategies. Doing math activities in groups will help sustain her interest and promote her knowledge of shapes, sizes, and other math concepts. As regards psychomotor activities, Martina has earned some improvement but she can do more if given more encouragement and practice to do some home projects especially those that require cutting, writing, and practicing at home. Martina’s ability to relate experiences with the lesson is one of her strongest points as a student. Likewise, her genuine concern for others reflects the values that the people in her home environment have instilled in her. We hope Martina does not change her positive attitude, especially her interest in others. We will always look forward to the positive feeling she brings to her teachers and peers. Martina, we hope that you continue to shine in what you do, and you will always fill our memories with the sensible ideas you have shared in the class. Abood Abood has learned to adjust to his learning environment. This term, he has shown more progress in academics and personal development. Abood has made a lot of improvement linguistically and socially. He has started to come out of his shell and mingle with others. He demonstrates better interest in stories and discussions, making it obvious that his comprehension skills are improving. He only needs to be encouraged more to speak up in order to express his thoughts well. More cooperative learning exercises will be given in the next term to make him overcome shyness. Likewise, allowing him to interact more with children his age will prove to be beneficial. In sum, he has progressed in English communication, and will soon be able to express himself accurately especially if given more chances to communicate in the language. Academically, Abood continues to excel higher. He is very good at writing and counting. He has nearly mastered differences in shapes and figures, and the practice he had enabled him to fully sort out things according to their kind. As a child, his curiosity lies mostly in arts and crafts, and such has helped him develop his fine motor skills. During play, Abood has shown efforts for increased interaction. He also displays a great deal of independence and discipline. He takes his turn in the swing and does not ngage in teasing his classmates. Such behaviors are truly commendable. Abood shows evident effort to connect with others. Activities like role-playing may be a little challenging for him because of his naturally quiet nature, yet he is able to verbalize his thoughts according to his given roles. Allowing him to be involved in similar activities and exposing him to people will promote his social skills more. If Abood will learn more to express himself more openly, he will eventually emerge a very good leader as he is able to win the respect of his classmates.
