Fossil fuels are formed when these material decay for a long period. Although, there is an abundance of coal, oil, and natural gas now, it will run out someday. Because the process of forming fossil fuels take long, it will…

There are also alternatives to fossil fuels. One of the alternatives is wind energy. Wind energy is cheap, proficient, and pollution free (Natural Resources Defense Council, 2013). Wind energy is made from big windmills that are placed on hills to supply power to the households. The downside of windmills is that they kill millions of birds in a year (Fear, 2011). The other alternative is solar energy. Solar energy is used to power houses, cars, satellites, and buildings. The suns energy is captured and harnessed to provide heat for electricity. Solar power is free to harness. However, it is costly to buy and install panels (Llorens, 2011).
Another source of energy is biomass and cellulosic ethanol. This energy is from crops remain, and fast growing trees. The uses of the products influence the environment. However, biomass that uses trees harms the environment. The other source of energy is hydropower. This uses water to spin turbines to make electricity. Although is cheap to make electricity, it is harmful to plants, fish, and other wildlife in and near rivers (Natural Resources Defense Council,

The types of renewable energy include solar, wind, hydroelectric and wave power. Introduction Energy is the main driving force of nature and human civilization. The world is even known to have a high level of energy consumptions which even increased during the industrial revolution.
The commonest by-products of these conversions are electricity, heat and light. The conversion of energy is very important as it enables us to put energy to good use. A good example is that of sunlight – in its raw form, it is appealing to us and is of use to plants.
The paper explores what alternative clean energy sources are available that can be harnessed successfully to replace fossil fuels and how the issue relates to Saint Leo core values of Integrity and Responsible Stewardship. The following renewable, clean and proven sources are available to meet our energy needs.
gy delivered without considering the negative impacts of hard energy on the environment, as well as the sustainability of hard energy (Botkin and Keller, 2010). Accordingly, policies supporting hard energy aim at increasing energy production, such as building of larger power
Raw materials are sometimes not difficult to access and the states around the world are always struggling to assemble as much raw materials as they can to facilitate the normal operation of firms categorized under different industries in the economy.
In order to obtain electricity from both fossil and renewable energy sources, it is imperative for one to apply relevant scientific techniques to harness them. Obtaining of electricity usually entails use of
There are three kinds of fossil fuels namely, gas, oil and coal. Fossil fuels contains a lot of hydrocarbons, therefore, when they are burned they cause pollution, which in turn emits large amounts of carbon dioxide to the environment.
Therefore, an alternative energy source like solar should be adopted so as to have a safer environment.
Solar and coal are some of the renewable and non-renewable power sources respectively. Solar energy provides
