A teacher’s response to the devastating state of health in Saudi Arabia would be to immediately come up with a solution to the problem urgently, particularly through education.

Q.3-research topic (Nutrition Education)

For my Ph.D. dissertation, I intend to dwell on the research topic, “Nutrition Education”, which I feel will be very useful back here in Saudi Arabia, where there is minimal awareness of nutrition.

4- What would happen if we send an American teacher to teach in Saudi Arabia? (Reciprocality)

Should you send an American teacher to tech here in Saudi Arabia, I would be more than willing to help him understand the nutrition situation in the country, the best way to pass his knowledge, and how to overcome cultural and environmental barriers in his work.

5- How do you educate people about nutrition?

In the course of my teaching at the university, I have interacted with great minds ready to make Saudi Arabia literate as far as nutrition is concerned. Upon their graduation, I am confident these young men and women have taken up this role in various capacities. We have also held several seminars and workshops to educate both the university and the community on nutrition.

6- What do you think of a good classroom?

I believe a good classroom is incorporated into the peer-to-peer group and instructor-led formats. Such a classroom should embrace the use of information of technology, such as laptop computers among other gadgets in the dissemination of knowledge.

7- How do you see the student in USA?

In the USA, I see a situation where a student has everything at his disposal to enhance learning. Such an environment would be very conducive for my research

8- How comfortable for you the practices in doctoral class not just receive the information from the professor?

I would not have any regarding the practice in doctoral studies, where the student does not just receive information from the teacher. This is because I believe education is a two-way process where both the instructor and the student play their roles. In any case, I would prefer a more student-centered learning system to an instructor-centered one.
