The student needs to group the activities in to two. Those that he/she understands are obligations that must be done routinely and those that may occur unexpectedly. The second is to organize them in a daily schedule, highlighting the most urgent ones as well as the resources needed. The third step is to develop strategies for achieving each of the tasks.
According to the paper findings the author of the discussion decided to work as a part time employee for five hours a day, beginning from 12.00 noon to 5.00 pm. He has 2 children and a wife who works full time from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm. The children have to leave for school at 6.00 am, be taken for lunch at 1.00 pm and back to school at 2.00 pm. They are collected from school at 5.30 pm. This is the daily schedule. He has set strategies to ensure that the author accomplishes the tasks that he has allocated for each day. The best time the author finds appropriate for studying is in the morning hours from 5.00 am to 10.00 am and from 8.00 pm to 10.00 pm. He negotiated with his wife to be taking the children to school, while the reporter of the essay collects them in the evening after work. She usually takes them for lunch. The author decided to allocate two evening hours for studies in case he lost some time with the unexpected events as he highlighted.
