As a writer, I am now able to write about stories and articles that relate easily with my target audience. This makes it possible for them to elicit the required type of response. In this regard, there exist a strong emotional connection between a writer and the reader. I am now able to communicate more of what I want my readers to feel. In addition, I am able to make a decisive decision as regards reads of different types of the target audience (Cooper 2009). Within this context, when writing reads for school going children, I use simple and easy to understand English as opposed to writing reads for adults. There is also the aspect of gender balance so that none of the sexes feels misplaced or left out.
