Download file to see previous pages I am Joshua Leung and I come from Hong Kong. Personality wise, I am a positive person who has a tendency to look for the good in everyone. In addition, I tend to look for the positive in each situation. This can be demonstrated by my persistent in studying irrespective of the fact that I am not very talented on academic matters. However, I still set goals and struggle to achieve them. This has enabled me to achieve quite a lot academically. Moreover, being a positive person helps me deal with difficult situations without giving up since I always hope that things will eventually work out for the best. I always avoid taking offense easily. This has helped me deal with people of different kinds.
Sometimes, my friends and people I come across tend to criticize me for being too ambitious. However, I appreciate constructive criticism and make use of it to improve. I consider every situation to be a learning experience and ensure that I learn from it. Additionally, being positive enables me not to be easily irritated since I do not take everything personally. On the assessment score, I scored highest on being a friendly and open person. This is true is true since I manage to cope with people from varying background. This has enabled me live peacefully in United States. I cope well with people in US irrespective of the great differences in culture.
Additionally, I take responsibility and accept deal with problems that my action may create even when the situation is not comfortable. I consider myself an extrovert. since I tend to be stimulated by events as well as other people. I tend to show my feelings and love working with people in groups. Additionally, I am inclined to using my senses to interpret the word by making use of my senses and prefer practical exercises. I realized I prefer dealing with practical situations involving problem solving as opposed to theoretical issues. On the personal assessment, I had a score of 135 on the type A person. Being a type A person means that I am aggressive and struggle to achieve more in limited time. This is true because I tend to be quite impatient and often find myself striving to achieve more things in a short period. Ever since I was young, I have always considered time to be an important factor that should be spent wisely. This can be demonstrated by the little time I spend on leisure activities. Although I spend considerable time with my friend, I always ensure that am participating in something constructive. Another thing about me is that I am very concerned about the political matters. This is because I understand that organizations are political systems. Since I hope to run my own company in the future, I believe this important. The self-assessment proved this since I scored 91 on how good I am in playing politics. Additionally, I tend to monitor myself and love possessing power. Although I consider and show concern on how other people view me, I have a strong positive self-concept. This makes me confident. However, being self-confident does not mean I consider myself better than I consider others. I have a good opinion about myself but I still have great regard for other people’s opinions. How Other People see me After discussing with my friends on what they think of me, most of them though I am creative. When faced by hard situations, my brother always asks for my help since he believes that I am good at coming up ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

Personal Effectiveness

One of the most difficult prospects is identifying where your strengths lie and in which new role you would be good at. There are hundreds of skills that you developed over time, but it is even more challenging to combine which tasks you are good at and which ones you enjoy the most. The reconciliation of both will determine your strengths. I am trying to identify my weaknesses and strengths all the time in order to make the most of my career opportunities. Besides, I realize that it is easier to focus on and develop your strengths than trying to eliminate weaknesses. Every time I try to engage in a new activity, I am always naturally worried that I won't have the necessary skills for a new activity or responsibility.

ITT Cleaning Services: A Business Profile

In a competitive industry inundated with corporate cleaning giants, ITT has managed to capture the attention of the busy London consumer, appealing to human psychology as a means to promote convenience as priority number one.

ITT appears to understand the consumer profile, perhaps drawing on Abraham Maslow’s renowned theory of human motivation, so as to appeal to their physiological needs for stress reduction when attempting to juggle business, family, and the responsibilities of household maintenance. Unlike their competitors, which routinely focus on value-driven strategies and product upgrades through R & D investments, ITT has found a connection by sympathizing with the hectic consumer and providing...

James Madison's 51st Federalist Paper

If this theory was seriously followed, it would suggest that the citizens must opt for the president, the legislators, as well as the judges. However, the framers identified certain realistic problems in making all the offices elective. Especially, the judicial branch would face problems because the typical person does not have knowledge about what qualifications judges ought to have. Judges must have great capability, but also not have any political pressures. While federal judges are selected for life, their philosophy will not be inclined via the president who appoints them or the senators whose permission the president will take.

All the arguments were generated due to his past life as he was in an aristocratic fami...

Implications for Personal Investment

The assumption of perfect rationality can be rebutted by the fact that rationality is not the sole driver of human behaviour. On the contrary, our behaviour is contingent upon emotions such as love, fear, pain, and pleasure etc. Human beings only use their intellectual power to achieve or avoid these emotional outcomes (Pompian 2006). Secondly, the assumption of self-interested is also not deemed to be practical because many sociological studies have shown that people are not always self-interested. Had this been the case, then there would not have been a single philanthropist in the world, even people would have avoided negative behaviour such as suicide and alcoholism. The final assumption of perfect information also does not ho...

Reflecting on Personal Life Experiences Utilizing Sociological Perspectives

The experience would touch on my initiation to my very first educational experience and developing my primary group in school.

Secondly, I would reflect on my studies during elementary years in a small exclusive private school in Vietnam. The next phase I consider of great significance in my academic experience is the privilege given me during my 9th grade to 12th-grade studies in a relatively different culture, in Melbourne, Australia.

Finally, a milestone in this journey through life is the recent migration to the United States to complete my higher education with Chemistry as my major in Evergreen Valley College, San Jose, California.

The evolution of sociology could be traced to the development...

Personal Management Framework

The subsequent framework would engender a theoretically determined structure of aims thus bringing up and addressing related issues.

Management functions - planning, leading, organizing and controlling or coordinating – have both a theoretical and conceptual determination and their functional level parameters include such organizational goal-related outcomes (Cleland & Gareis, 2006). For instance, the following process diagram of a personal management framework shows the managerial functions can be more meaningful in an individualized organizational context where the manger’s own capabilities and skills are brought into sharp focus in comparison with the daily and routine functions.

A function...

Uniqueness for Personal Identity

Teleportation is the process of disintegrating the body to make a copy of a person in another place say, for example, Jupiter as a means of travel. In the teleportation experiment, Parfit demonstrated the problem of teleportation when the machine malfunctioned. The machine was not able to destroy the original body and yet a copy was already sent to Mars. So the problem arises of determining who is the real you? This phenomenon of teleportation is bad because it is problematic. It is problematic not only in the sense that the machine malfunctioned that there became two individuals because the original was not destroyed. Personal Rrofessional Development

Another challenge I faced was time management. I had limited time to study since I worked on a full-time basis. My poor time management skills worsened the matter for me. Indeed, this made me fail in my first presentation and essay despite starting work on it early enough. I had reserved two hours every day for my essay, as opposed to waiting until the last night before the presentation when I would be forced to work on it in a hurry. I also reserved time for my work-related tasks as well as relaxation in order to avoid exhaustion and boredom. However, I still failed. Still, on time management, I found it difficult to balance my time so as to have adequate time for each assignment. This could cause me to take up many tasks at the...
