Initially, my determination to contribute to the development of my country made me lean towards the study of Food Chemistry. My arrival in the USA, as an undergraduate, was a revelation and aroused in me a profound admiration for the economic miracle which is America. I realized that business skills are not sufficient to lift people, and an economy, to a higher level: the crucial factor is the proper management of money. My fortuitous stint as an accountant at HMS Host (Bethesda, MD) was the turning point of my life. I received exposure to the entire gamut of accounting and banking and discovered in myself a passion for the subject.
