My Personal Constitution - Essay Example

LAW AND LEADERSHIP EXERCISE Nature has created the world on the sound foundations of rules and regulations, where the application of principles and decorum has always been the order of the day since the arrival of man on the Earth. No only this, but also the individuals, clans, groups and communities devised some rules and regulations and prescribed them in their charters for the smooth running of all the social, economic and political affairs. In addition, social norms, cultural values, religious taboos and the statutes of law are introduced in order to protect the members of society from any harm, perversion, delinquency and crime. Hence, every individual enjoys many rights and privileges on his part, but also he is responsible to the political authorities for his attitude and behavior while interacting with his environment and other members of society. The main objective behind the articulation of laws is to provide the individuals with such an environment under which they can exercise best of their abilities, talent and skills in order to obtain chains of successes and achievements in life. Thus, constitutional framework is highly beneficial for the determination of goals and taking complete advantages of personal capabilities. The same is the case while drafting out a personal constitution to win name, fame and triumphs in life. The contemporary world is fast changing and becoming a global village. Fast, easy and economical traveling opportunities and expanding markets have turned the countries into amalgamation of divergent religious, racial, ethnic and cultural groups. The societies are emerging into one another, where hegemony and co-operation between the people belonging to different cultures and regions of the globe has become inevitable for the peace and harmony of the world at large. Being a member of this social set up of the contemporary age of globalization, I have also established a personal constitution not only to achieve my destination but also contribute in making the world quite a peaceful and worth-living place. It is therefore, I have bifurcated my life into responsibilities, duties and obligations on the one hand, and my rights and privileges on the other. My first and the foremost obligation stand for my Fashioner. I have established the purest feelings of love to my Creator, i.e. Almighty God the Omnipotent, Who has created me as human and has bestowed His countless mercies upon me. I have strong belief in Him and never complain in the face of hardships and uneven circumstances. I adore my Lord from the core of my heart and recite the Holy Scripture sent for the guidance of humanity, during which it looks as I am talking to the Creator of the universe. I try to implement the noble teachings of the Holy Scripture in my daily life while interacting with my fellow beings. It is therefore I stand for helping the needy and supporting such organizations, which have been established on charitable purposes. The second statute of my personal constitution strictly prohibits me from imposing my own religious belief upon others. My constitution asks me never to discuss contradictory and controversial issues like race, ethnicity, norms, faith, political affiliations, complexion, gender, sexual orientation, language, tradition and culture, which could hurt the feelings and emotions of others. On the contrary, I always create an amicable, friendly and cordial atmosphere in my place of work, educational institution and recreational spot, where no one could think himself as an alien. Hence, I will observe decency, manners and justice while communicating with others. The provisions of the UNO charter also specifically declare freedom of exercising religious practices, freedom speech and of assembling to all citizens, and condemn the exercise and observing of any prejudiced behavior against minority groups and communities. Almost all the opportunities remain wide open to men and women, according to the provisions, belonging to every social and ethnic group and religious belief. The same will be applied in my personal constitution. Next section of my personal constitution demands the role of an obedient and complying son of the parents in my person. My parents have brought me up in a highly caring and compassionate way. They sacrificed their own comforts and forgot about their financial problems and concentrated upon my needs, pleasures and joys. They arranged for my proper upbringing and got me admitted at a reputed school, from where I learnt multiple disciplines and subjects. They brought best clothes for me according to their sources, and developed my inclinations towards books, knowledge, wisdom and truthfulness. It is therefore I will vehemently comply with all the instructions and commands issued from them. In addition, my constitution suggests me to remain very kind, loyal, sincere and benevolent towards my loving siblings, who find a very devoted and sympathetic man in my person. I will leave no stone unturned for their personal and professional growth as their eldest brother. Another provision of my personal constitution urges me to serve as a sheltering tree towards my friends, peers and companions. Renowned poet of Romantic Era S T Coleridge has also declared friendship as the sheltering tree, in his poem Youth and Age, upon which companions maintain unabated trust and faith. I will stand by my friends through thick and thin; and if I am unable to perform in such a way, I will surely violate the provisions of my personal constitution. Moreover, if the people living in my neighborhood call me for help of any kind, I will put aside my own assignments and will move forward to lend a hand to them at the hour of the need. According to my personal charter, I will never observe any type of abnormality or perversion at all; nor I will break the prevailing rules and regulations of my social set up. I will seriously condemn every injustice, inequality and malpractice, inflicted upon some innocent by the cruel and tyrant stratum of society. I will raise voice against the prejudiced behavior towards minority groups and communities, on the basis of caste, class, clan, community, race, religion, gender and socioeconomic status. I will make hard efforts for bringing the communities and groups closer to each other. Furthermore, I will strive for the rights of the elderly, the children and women. No community will be unequal or inferior in my eyes. My constitution provides equal status to all and sundry. My personal constitution strongly demands fidelity, loyalty and commitment to my studies. Being the student of philosophy, literature and law, I will strive to improve my interpersonal skills to apply them in my professional life. Since Nature has gifted me with outstanding writing capabilities, I will use my pen and words for the benefit of mankind. I will work day-in and day-out to improve my dexterity in writing and will acquire vast knowledge to spread the noble and gorgeous light of knowledge, vigilance, wisdom and foresight in all corners of the globe. My dignified cause will add a share in bringing peace and harmony in the world, which has been under the filthy and awkward clutches of so called terrorism; consequently civilizations, cultures and countries seem to be at the brink of another great war. The domination of big powers over the weak countries of third world has put the global peace in grave jeopardy on the basis of religion, race and resources, which has given birth to the terrorist organizations like Al Qaeda and others, nefarious designs of which have destroyed the unity and tranquility of the world. “The west maintains”, Rajagopal submits, “prejudice while policy making between Christians and non-Christians. The political and economic strategies like new world order, globalization and WTO have been drafted to give old colonization a new form, where the third world countries remain as their economic slaves forever and ever.” (2003: p 131) As a legal professional, I will try to convey my message to the UN auspices to apply one and the same provisions of law to every country and state of the world. Moreover, my personal constitution proposes me to follow the footprints of the outstanding personalities, personality traits of which later became the law of their nation as well as the role model for many cultures.
