 Impact of Certain Events in Your Life Certain events in your life tend to leave a very strong impact on your existence and a person carries these memories with himself for the rest of his life. These happenings actually influence many important decisions over the years. Flames of fire, screaming people and horrified faces: these are the images that I saw one day when I was returning home after watching a movie. I have been carrying these images with me since then. This happened in a small super store which was right below my apartment.

I had a strong bond with this place because I used to run there at least twice a day when I was a kid either to get something for my mother or at times for my siblings. I enjoyed running here and there in the store where I could see different toys as well as new people every day. But I could no more do that as the store was completely burnt by the fire. The burning store, the helpless people and the screams are still with me. I often used to ask my mother that why this happened. I heard the elders talking once that this could have been a way of earning insurance money and they talked about other reasons that could have led to this fire.

They were beyond my understanding but deep down I decided that when I would grow up I would investigate upon this fire myself. I carry this dream with me today as well and this is what served as a push for me to come to college again and start pursuing my career in the field of Arson Investigation. The thought of investigating the fire in that store is no more but the stronger cause and will is a part of me even today.
