Brief description Spotless is an Australian company that is owned, operated and managed in order to provide integrated management services in numerous areas. The company is proud in its heritage, capabilities, and knowledge within its operations across Australia. The company’s integrated offerings help its customers to enjoy their food and beverage services through a central conduit that increases on efficiency and reduces the cost (Kraft Walker Cheese CO. 1930. Pg 14). Spotless capabilities and knowledge makes sure that there is compromise in safety especially in the hospitality and catering sections. The company’s scale and size gives it flexibility, resources as well as financial asset that enables it to have a successful partnership with the clients on key projects. These aspects ensures that the company provides cohesive, high quality and customized services to its customers. For more than 50 years Spotless group has managed to improve on its services to become a principal name in the hospitality management and catering services. Their clients in the food and beverage section include aged care facilities, hospitals, mining sites performance and function venues, exhibition convention centers and Airports. On the other hand, their capabilities fall in the following areas. Brief description Kraft Foods Kraft is the second largest food and beverage company in the word. It produces products in around 170 countries. The company is a category leader in the chocolates, confectionary and spreads. The products made are widely known, for example, cream cheese and Cadbury daily milk. In the investment story the company managed to acquire Cadbury in the year 2010.In Australia, Kraft food operates three centers of quality manufacturing plants located in Victoria, which have invested in the company significantly. These plants have also under gone major expansion where new equipment’s have been invested making them excellent centers of candy. Service critique Spotless Facility Services is a wholly owned entity of Spotless Group Limited, which is committed in ensuring that they provide their consumers with the best products and services that are of high quality and safety. In order to achieve these measures spotless has come up with a food and beverage safety standard for its suppliers that falls under storage, handling, and production as well as distribution of food related products .As a result, this safety measure will ensure that its suppliers are able to provide safe food to its operations in accordance with laid down procedures. This service critique aims at analyzing whether the Critical Control Point tool, that is highlighted in section 5 for the food development safety program are effected for safety or in elimination of all hazards attributed to food safety and quality. To add on its security measures the services that they offer allows and has regular audit functions done and also on its suppliers. These procedures are aimed at ensuring that their customers receives only the best from their food products. Some of these procedures are a clear indication that the company is committed in achieving and providing only high standard products and services to its consumers.in most companies in food and beverage sector health factors are highly valued. Once they provide their consumer with faulty food they might cause death or some kind of deformities among them and therefore tarnishing their corporate image completely. The main objective of the company in the case of food safety, standards and quality is to provide a wide range of consumer base with products that are safe quality and reliable products that they will be able to enjoy repeatedly. Food & beverage critique In the food and beverage analysis it is clear that the two companies have managed to improve and maintain high safety and quality standards on these products. That is all the products and services delivered have been a delight to their customers. Extensive food research strategies have been part of their development. They have experienced personnel’s in the food and beverage areas who ensures that all consumer preferences are catered for. For example, Kraft foods has numerous food innovators that are co - located with dedicated infrastructure and world class technologies ( William, (1969.Pg 367). The two companies are able to promote innovations in the food and beverage all over the world by connecting small to medium sized enterprises, people, industry, higher education and technology through cooperative programs to provide world-class improvements (Kraft Foods Limited, 1998).Pg 45). Some of these innovative centers helps in the manufacture of new products, delivering quality testing procedures as well as providing access to world-class consumer study and brand-creation knowledge and competences. Service climate critique Spotless group There are many organizations in Australia that depend on spotless group to be able to make their business work. The greatest recognition for this company is on the great understanding that they have for their customers and the ability to deliver and manage some of the most complex and integrated solutions in the food and beverage sections. The company’s growth has been organic and strategic into a business that today offers specialized services to many organizations in the globe. Kraft foods It is clear that Kraft foods is a big employer and most of its employees are employed on full time basis in all its branches located in more than 170 countries in the world. They have excellent wages ranging from $ 18 per hour and employees work for only 40 hours per week. They also compensate on overtime, they are employees friendly and their policies are open to all (Kraft Foods Limited. (1982.pg 60). There is limited supervision thus increasing the employees morale towards work as they are able to motivate themselves in ways such as giving themselves some break among other ways. These motivation strategies used by the company enables it to hold the employees loyalty. They also feel as part of the company and they work hard towards achieving the set goals and objectives. There is also job security in the company unlike other companies that keeps on retrenching their employees. This is important to the company because it is able to retain its experienced and talented workforce reducing on operation and employee recruitment cost. It is note able that those companies that keeps on retrenching employees and employing new ones uses a lot of resources and waste time that could be used in the production process. In the case of customer complains they take good record of these complains investigate them with an aim of identifying the cause as well as the appropriate action to take to certify the complains. Such measures may include market survey, and improving on their customer care services to be able to take record of all the customer complaints and take necessary actions against them. On the other hand once the customer complaints are investigated and corrective actions taken they are documented and kept for future review.
