College: Techniques of Readable Writing Techniques of readable writing in business communication play a very important role towards the success of a business. Therefore, a business need to consider one’s verbal and diplomacy strengths before employment. According to Lesikar, Marie and Kathry (12-14) the quality of work depends on how well and effective instructions or accomplishment are communicated. The credibility of a technique is determined by the message outline, selection of words and the target audience.

The outline involves the purpose of the message, memory curves, paragraph development, problem presentation and explanations, arrangement of ideas and formatting styles. Secondly, word selection involves message accuracy, emphasis on main points, motivational effect, appealing, how brief and familiar, correct language, active voice, avoiding sexist words (Lesikar et al, 27-38). Finally, on the target audience one will need to identify the audience, their size and composition, expected reaction, level of understanding and needs.

It is also important for the techniques at hand to be technologically up to date. Work citedLesikar, Raymond, Marie, Flatly and Kathry, Rentz. Business Communication: Making Connections in a Digital World. New York, NY: McGraw-Hill/Irwin. 2006. Print.
