Foodstuff is important for the development of the human body. This is a very great problem because the clinic may lose its credits and this is very wrong. When the company does not perform as expected by the general society, there is a likely possibility that it will fail. On the societal front, it is very difficult for a society to move ahead with these amounts of crime. Criminals are not well perceived in any society because these petty crimes are the ones that lead to even greater and more harmful crimes.

Therefore, it is paramount to understand the best means through which to get rid of this vice in the company. The reason for eliminating this crime is that despite the fact that it does not hold a direct effect on a person it has indirect effects. There is also the analysis of the problem that is very effective in ensuring that it is completely eliminated. In this case, the most important step to take is understanding the major causes of the problems. The reason why the employees feel inclined to steal from the company is the laxity in the management of the organization.

As witnessed, the chief accountant is a regular drunk that makes him an easy target from the manner in which he is not always aware of the activities in the company (Osland, 1997). A major cause of the problem is the attitude of the accountant. The accountant is rather harsh to the employees and this is from the manner in which he even addresses them. This is a reason that may make the employees get a sense of rebellion and want not to feel intimidated. They carry out their rebellion by going against the clinic’s principles and deciding to steal.

Maria also caused the problem by simply trying to appear nice to her fellow employees by offering them free foodstuff. This is a common problem because there are people that naturally feel the need to gain popularity and the best manner through which to do this is by showing gestures to employees. This case took place in the organization and thus another root cause of the problem.

Solution Analysis

It is also critical to go through the various means through which a solution to this problem can get arrived at. The best manner through which to do this is, is by first going through the various effects that the solutions proposed will have and thus understand the best manner through which to incorporate. In this case, there was the recommended action of firing the entire crew. However, the repercussions of this would be taking the institution back from the fact that the company would have to go through another tiresome hiring process.

In order to fire the main culprit in this situation, there would be the going of the main office to the mountains and this is a factor that would waste a lot of money seeing as the institution needed managing on a daily basis. Moreover, it is vital to know that Maria was a pregnant woman, and taking her through all these distances to see a lawyer is a fact that would not augur well with the labor law that has the responsibility of ensuring that these women are protected from overworking.

Another option to resolve the situation would be to ensure that the ten recipients of the free foodstuff from Maria would get fired, not permanently, but for a few days without receiving any payment. Since Maria was the one that had carried out the greater crime, her punishment would be worse and this would involve firing her too for several days. However, the number of days that she would be off work would be more than for the other guilty employees.

The boss in this case received these recommendations appreciatively and critically went through all of them. According to him, he felt that these employees had carried out some deep wrongdoings and that they deserved a harsher punishment. This led to him deciding to advise the committee to go with the initial idea of firing the entire crew (Osland, 1997).

Implementation Analysis

Implementing the solution analysis is another vital step to take with relation to handling the situation of stealing. The best manner through which to implement this is by ensuring that all the people involved with the company are aware of the wrongdoings of the employees. It is after this that the various people are advised to meet the management of the organization. In this meeting, they are ready to their rights and made to understand the height of mistakes that they had carried out.

In many institutions, there is the invitation of the employees to private areas and made to understand that they should hand their letters of resignation. This is done in situations where the employees had committed crimes that were not of an advanced measure. However, in this situation, the employees had stolen from within the institution. Stealing on its own is a crime, however, the fact that they stole from within the company shows that they did not appreciate the opportunity that they had been given. This was the case in the case study and thus deserved public firing.
