It is going to recommend what an organization needs to do to gain additional profits. Furthermore, the report will give a 12-month implementation plan of good management. Introduction Management is an application of coordination in an organization to accomplish its mission and visions. This is necessary because the firm can attain maximum profits with minimum resources. Time management is utilizing the least time possible to achieve maximum production. Stress management is the act of a person controlling his stress level by participating in stress removal activities, like counseling. An effective management is the most important thing in the organization; it helps in time and stress management. The firm will achieve high results while the business will grow to great heights. There are many trends in management. These trends are the reasons for competitive markets in the world today. Managers put these trends into consideration and apply them in the environment of their business. Not all managers can cope with these trends because it requires efficiency. It needs management, which has a vision in its undertakings and is ready to face any risk ahead. This paper is going to highlight the current trends in management. Literature review Various characteristics define good management. This is the base for effective management. An efficient manager provides the firms visions (Birkinshaw, 2013). An employee may provide a proposal that could lead to success, and it needs the hands of the manager to implement the idea. A good manager with vision will outline the importance of the idea and guide his firm on what to do. An effective management brings clarity in the organization. They are the ones to lead by example. When a task is hard to be completed, the management has to bring in experts to help sort out the problem. Believing is important for management to be effective. They should believe in the trends that affect management and apply them in their institutions. This gives confidence to other employees, and they will work feeling motivated (Birkinshaw, 2013). Management has a role in supporting its employees. It can offer support in terms of motivation, money, or promotion. This will bring effectiveness in production, in the company. As good management, application of trends is an important tool for success. These trends are always changing, and a flexible management can adapt quickly to this. The most common trend is technology, which is changing fast. Digital systems are very efficient and can help reduce the time of production. Main discussion Many trending issues in management requires knowledge in stress management. In addition, it requires employee participation. One of the trends is globalization. Every nation in the world is interconnected. They get to know each other through modern digital systems. The world has changed, and there is sharing of cultures all over the world. This has affected businesses and their management structure. For example, in the past, western countries had dominated the international markets, but because technology, Eastern countries have come on strong. There has been an increase in goods and services passing borders of different countries. This has increased competition and the managers have to formulate policies on how to challenge their competitors (Melé, 2011). For effective management in an environment like this, executives have to be innovative. They have to utilize the minimum time possible. They should design means of marketing their goods and maintain their customers quickly because the markets are competitive. Firms affected by globalization, have to rely on quality management teams, to regain their top spot in production. The managers have to possess and complement the necessary skills. The firm should have a good human resource department that can give direction to its employees. The plan for this department has been in place. The management should formulate business objectives and tasks. With this in place, the management will prioritize important things to do, thus, managing its time efficiently. The management should tighten their recruitment standards. An environment affected by globalization requires focused individuals to steer the firm (Narasaiah, 2006). A decision to employ someone requires many discussions and a bold decision. The people employed have to pass through vigorous training to develop their skills in various issues. An effective management in this environment rewards its employees constantly (Melé, 2011). A motivated workforce is important in any organization. He should be free of waste and avoid any frustrations from work places. Globalization can affect a firm that does not reward its employees efficiently. They will leave their jobs and look for jobs elsewhere in the world. The firms facing this challenge have to adopt a different culture. They need to encourage a working environment preventing their competitors from taking any advantage of them. They will keep their supply constant matching the expected demand in the markets. Technology is another important trend in effective management. It is the best tool in managing time. This is the facilitator of globalization. Managers have to be flexible and adapt to these changes. The world is facing digitalization, and most companies sell their products using the internet. Managers should be visionary and design ways in which they could market their products online. Most companies have designed their own websites, to match with the current demand for digitalization. Competition has significantly increased after most firms adopted the use of technology. The following chart shows how customers get to know the products a firm offers. (Khosrowpour, 2006) The consumers are attracted to new things in the market, furthermore, to the companies that have adopted the technology. Customer experience is the best thing to keep the customer around. A business that does not offer customer experience is more likely lack modern technological advancements (Khosrowpour, 2006). Managers have to lead by example. They need to communicate to other workers using the latest technology, like chats. This will save production time because the manager is not required to move up and down telling employees on what to do. Technology is an important tool for good management. It has helped to ease operation time in the firm. A manager can watch and keep track of employees’ level of production. He can estimate the ones that need to get a promotion to important departments, and those who need to go for further training. This is possible if a company has installed a database system for its employees. With this, the company will realize an increase in profits. An effective management has plans. These plans are important in the financial year, or the whole business life. Essential plans are like the budget of the firm. They need to be stored safely for easy reference in times of crisis. Good managers have put these plans in software rather than files. This is to improve efficiency because, the plans are safely stored, and one can retrieve it easily. A company can hire workers outside the country using technology. This requires a visionary management. This can reduce the cost of conducting interviews while reducing the time of service delivery. They can get employees especially those who can work in the programming section. Some can get marketers online who support the company in looking for new markets. Instead of relying on the media advertising, managers can shift their focus into the social media. Many people can access these tools, like Facebook and twitter, and can help market the firm. Managers are supposed to guarantee the security of its employees and the firm’s assets. The latest security systems use the technology. It is very convenient and efficient. The management could install CCTV cameras all over the firm to assist security agents in their activities. This can help reduce fraud cases in the firm. Thus, ensuring the employees concentrate in their work, to boost productivity. To command a large market, companies nowadays form business collaboration. An effective management allows its business to create collaborations and participate in business takeovers. They can rely on technology for this. They can reach for far apart companies, despite their geographical position, and propose collaboration. A tool like conference calls could enable online meetings and the passage of resolutions. There will be good results because the business would have opened markets in many places, reducing the time businesses access the customers. Finally, an effective management requires it to be innovative and looking for new strategies to help them manage time. Social responsibility is a trending factor important in effective management. A sustainable market is very important for business. Factors of production — fair competition, less government control — and good prices are characteristics of a sustainable market. He should ensure his business sells the right commodity in the markets, without practicing in illegal activities. Good management ensures the business has fulfilled its tax obligation. A firm should not threaten its competitor. They both deserve a chance to participate in trading. Social responsibilities are issues to deal with maintaining the environment, preserving the energy, provision of education, and health care. An effective management ensures this social responsibility helps to reduce employees’ stress. They are supposed to assist the disadvantaged get education. Most firms have departments that deal with welfare of the people. Good firms go and pick the street children and take them to the nearby rehabilitation centers. They have a budget for money set aside to provide for medical attention of its employees. Emergency services have to be present in these firms to respond to emergencies like accidents and sickness. Some organizations have set up health facilities to cater for the needs of the local people. Good managers ensure their companies do not pollute the environment (Birkinshaw, 2013). Some companies are in the manufacturing sector and have many exhausts and wastes. The management has to formulate ways for disposing of the wastes. It is always frustrating to work in a dirty environment. They have to organize forums that deal with environmental conservation and present the recommendations to the responsible local authority. Firms participate in tree planting activities, to promote the environment. It is a fun time and workers will find space to reduce work pressure. Firms are supposed to be responsible in preserving the energy. They need this energy while doing production, reducing their time of looking for extra sources of energy. A good management will formulate policies that require their firms to recycle energy. This recycled energy will go to the locals, thereby benefitting all. They have to develop new methods of tapping energy to avoid overreliance. Other firms have installed solar panels on top of their roofs to supplement on their electricity. Those who engage in animal product production have utilized the use of biogas. This measure would boost the countrys economy, because; the energy can be supplied to other sectors in the country. Human psychology is another trending factor in management. It mainly deals with stress management. An effective management understands the discipline of its employees (Natale, 1997). Managers have to be aware of the stressing factors available in the company. It is not only employees; the firm has to understand the behavior of its customers. The firm has to know the tastes of customers, and what products they need at a given time. Good managers will put researchers on the ground to work on this. The firm should know what social engagement its employees participate, so that it can organize one for all its workers. With this in mind, the management would have increased productivity because it will know which areas of welfare have to get strengthening (Birkinshaw, 2013). Business ecosystems are trending. Good business managers have to be aware of these ecosystems. This is about the interactions of the business community. They divide services among different companies. A firm can specialize in production, but it can use another firm to transport the finished goods to the intended market, assisting in time management. This is a form of business cooperation. Many businesses currently apply this collaboration to satisfy the customers. Good managers will look for the best business to manage. Recommendations An organization has to apply these trending matters in their business structure to help reduce time wastage and stressful working conditions. This report recommends managers to use the latest technology systems. Their firms should have installations of databases that keep track of the business activities in the business. It recommends that managers should avail funds that will be used for the advancement of technology in the firms. The firm should provide each worker with computers to make their work easier. The report recommends managers should train their employees with modern equipment. There should be installation of chat systems in firms to reduce the time wasted while transferring information from one place to another. The report recommends that firms have to install CCTV cameras to secure their premises. It should employ high-qualified security officers who can guard the place using the system. It also recommends managers should ensure they have marketed their products online. The company has to design a website that can be an advertisement tool. Furthermore, the firm should have a page in popular social sites. This will bring customers close to the firm. This report recommends that every firm should have a human resource department. This department will formulate policies that will help tackle the issue as competition brought by globalization (Narasaiah, 2006). It recommends firms to do thorough interviews to select the most qualified employees. Firms should also increase the salaries of its employees to avoid losing them. The management has to draw a well-structured plan that will enable it tackle their competitors with ease. This report recommends firms to create health and educational centers to help both the employees and the local community. By this, they will help reduce the level of illiteracy and improve the health system. It will be a way of helping the less fortunate in the society. The report recommends firms to maintain the environment by not polluting it. Their management has to know on which methods to dispose of waste. It further recommends that firms should participate in community activities like cleaning the river, cleaning of streets, and digging of dumping holes. This report recommends firms to study the character of human beings. These include its employees and the customers. The management should use methods that make workers feel motivated. It recommends that firms should know the taste of its customers and have to respect it. Firms can apply all these recommendations in its working environment. Security can be at its maximum with the installation of CCTV cameras. This machine uses the latest technology, and with a skilled operator, there cannot be any security breaches. Employees can use the chatting system effectively, provided each employee has a computer. They can pass to each other resolutions of the meeting, discuss new matters, and the management can convey meetings fast (Khosrowpour, 2006). A clean working environment is motivational. When the firm maintains a clean environment, it will create a serene place to maximize production. Customers will be attracted to the firm, and the public image will be the best. The firm will save the operation cost by conserving energy. Moreover, they can recycle energy that can be used back to cater for production. A firm that has a health facility will see increased production level, because, a sick employee will not spend much time going to look for a doctor. 12-MONTH IMPLEMENTATION PLAN MONTH PLAN IMPLEMENTATION JANUARY To motivate all employees in the firm Increase salaries and organizing a party for all FEBRUARY To upgrade security level in the company Installation of CCTV cameras and hiring high qualified technicians MARCH To create a serene environment for working Cleaning the environment, in and outside the firm APRIL To have a reliable source of energy Recycling energy and to save extra energy MAY To form collaborations with other firms globally Establishing the best firms that matches the company’s standards and production level JUNE Improve the health and education levels Build more schools and health facilities JULY To help tackle competition brought by globalization Employ more employees with necessary qualifications and rely on the advice from international market’s experts AUGUST Digitalizing the firm Buying each employee a computer and providing proper training about technology Installing the chat system in the firm SEPTEMBER Expanding the Human Resource Department Hiring a competent manager and employees to run the department and allocating more funds towards its development OCTOBER Creating the company’s website Hiring high-level programmers to design the firm’s website NOVEMBER Marketing the firm The management to allocate more funds to go to the marketing department To create pages in the social media like facebook DECEMBER Restructuring the management Including experts in the board of directors Fresh vetting for current top organ managers Delegating duties and power sharing among employees in the firm References Birkinshaw, J.
