Letter to the Chief Executive Officer October 29, 29 October NY The Chief Executive Office: XYZ Ltd, NY Status of my temporarypromotionDear Sir,First of all, I wish to thank you for the temporary promotion that was granted to me. Just to remind you, my current position is as a GS-12 Problem Manager and I have been promoted to the position of GS-12 Portfolio Management. I am referring to the brief conversation we had on Friday, October 25, 2013 about my promotion. If you recall, you had indicated that the request for the promotion had to be first approved by members of the review board.
I have the following queries about the status of my promotion and payment and request you to kindly answer them.1. Kindly let me know the approximate date by which the SMB Review Board will meet and review the request made by MCI West’s G-6’. The request was for my salary and wages to be at par with the GS-12-2210 Portfolio Manager.2. I am assuming that the request from MCI West’s G-6’ will be approved and I would indeed be promoted as the GS-12-2210 Portfolio Manager. My query is about the number of days and by when the human resources department or other department would update my SF-50 records in line with the new role and functions brought about by the promotion.3. Since my temporary promotion would start from Monday, October 7, 2013, kindly let me know if the SF-50 will be initiated from this date.4. I am now working as a supervisor a along with three contractors in the Portfolio Management Section.
My query is if I my role as supervisor will be shown in the SF-50.5. One last question I have is if I would be receiving retrospective pay from 7 October 2013 and the date when I will receive this payment. I am sorry to bother a busy man with so many questions, but these small queries will help me in my career besides giving me some amount of financial strength and mental relief. Hence, your responses, even if they are brief will act as a relief to me. Alternatively, considering that you are a busy person, you could direct me to the HR or other departments and mark your instructions on my letter, asking them to answer my queries and I will gladly follow up with them.
I take this opportunity for your kind attention in reading this letter and I hope that you would respond favorably.
