The quantitative technique that yields more substantial outcome involves taking measurements to determine the rise in sea level that is attributed to the melting of polar ice. Also, the measurements try to relate claims that human increased emission of greenhouse gases contributes to the same. Further research to substantiate the claims is directed towards the determination of the overall temperature of the water bodies. The results indicate that there is a general change in climate all over the world considering other factors such as ocean acidification and decrease in ice cover compared to the past.
The level of technology used in gathering the data is convincing, but further research is imperative for one to draw sound conclusions. However, it is crucial to establish more evidence beyond reasonable doubts by considering the sequence of the earth climate variations.
