Article Relationship between weight loss and blood pressure In a report that was issue by the world health organization, 2002. It was found that there is a growing prevalent of those with chronic diseases occasioned by obesity. In was also contained in the report that a close correlation do exist between the being obese and developing high blood pressure (Krueger, 2012). Unfortunately, there is no known cure for high blood pressure thought it can be prevented or controlled. It is therefore construable that with diminishing body weight, one significantly reduces the possibility of developing high blood pressure.
The relationship of body weight and blood pressure are directly proportional. This statement should though be taken in the context that it is the body weight that is a precursor to blood pressure; the body blood pressure depends on it and not vice versa. The science behind the relationship of the body weight and blood pressure is; when one is obese, it means that the body store more fats that the one that are used for respiration and maintenance of the normal body physiology. The extra fats retained I the body in this case will reach the arterial walls and harden it, a process known as arteriosclerosis.
When the walls are hardened, they become rigid and narrower making the circumference of the otherwise initially bigger artery to be smaller (Krueger, 2012). This will result into equal volume of blood that would have otherwise passed the artery at a normal speed to be increased due to narrowed artery. This is what brig about high blood pressure in the overweight individuals. If the body weight is controlled, one will not be overweight and this will reduce the occurrence of high blood pressure too.
Article 2: Effect of Fish Oils on Heart DiseaseOrdinarily, fish is taken to constitute a staple food considering the aspect of health and balanced diet. Within it, are the fatty acids named omega-3. There are also traces of that antioxidants that researchers propose has a curative effect for heart disease as well as the cancer. Following this revelation, health experts have given advice that consumption of about 8 ounces of fish in a week or serving it 3 times in a week will help mitigate on the development of heart diseases and many diet conscious people have complied with this (Park, 2012).
One will be forced to think again, according to the Archives of the International Medicine, the proponent of the idea are taken to have missed a point. The body conducted a research to prove the point but of the 20, 500 patients that were chosen at random and administered omega-3 and placebo developed heart diseases in equal measure (Park, 2012). This new advancement throws into jeopardy the first assertion. They concluded that there must have been biasness in the first research and the role of omega-3 in treating heart disease is still at large.
