Top Ten Film Literature s affiliation Top Ten Film Literature Analysis of The Incredible The film is a fantastic story that is properly scripted with high quality animation. It offers a perfect story and viewing experience with plenty of laughs and action to boot. It is basically a storyline of a man that is experiencing a mid-life crisis and jumping headlong into it without stopping to think and ponder on the effects it will have on his family. He leaves the wife to continue trying to look after the family. The story brings about the notion that parents can also be super heroes. The children also seem to have inherited the parents’ super powers which contributed to this being a wonderful story. The movie has an almost perfect animation that can almost be seen as being real. This can be seen in the part that the father is cheering the children that almost look like it is real. The effects of fire and water which are very difficult to develop in animation as well as lava are quite exciting to watch and really fascinated me as a person. The acting and characters are quite powerful and appear as though they are real which lead me to care for them. It also exciting and refreshing to see the links and comparisons to other known superheroes via comic-lore. Analysis of Ratatouille The title gives the viewer the three elegant elements of the movie which are rodents, French and food. The movie is mostly the story of an ambitious rat that has spent quite some time reading a renowned French Chef’s recipe book and hence he dreams of one day becoming a chef. The book has extraordinary and breathtaking animations. The film’s directional and tonal control as well as its detail, sympathy, lack of pretension as well as intelligence enables the film’s sub textual metaphors to avoid obscuring its pleasures. These pleasures can be found in the film’s vivid characters like the power-crazed Anton Ego, the frightening Snow-White style Villain as well as the food critic with features of Gothic. Analysis of a Bugs Life Young Flick decides to go out and recruit animals that will help defend themselves when his ant colony comes under attack from the evil grasshoppers. He comes across a demoralized circus troupe that agrees to join up with him with the full knowledge of what they are getting themselves into. Just like in the movie Antz, A Bugs Life’s setting is an anthill where a certain misfit had developed a crush for the princess, however in this case the plot is much clearer cut like the set up in the Magnificent Seven. An adult viewer may experience a level of impatience since the story line is highly guessable. The Children, however will respond to the broad-strokes as well as the bug-level knockabout, interesting characters: a fat caterpillar that hopes to be transformed into a beautiful butterfly, the gentle but fearsome looking rhino-nosed beetle as well as a male ladybug. Analysis of Finding Nemo The movie has all the normal features of the Pixar animation style. It however adds an unexpected feature of beauty which is the use of form and color that makes it one of the few movies that make one want to sit on the front row seats so as to better experience the picture quality. The initial scenes in the movie are a bit unsettling as the audience gradually realizes that it is going to be about fish and not people or people based characters as it had been previously expected. In the movie, it occurs to many that majority of the pelicans survive by eating fish from the water and not rescuing them, however several characters in the movie manage to evolve into gradually into vegetarians. As Dory and Marlin conduct their odyssey they come across three carnivores that have formed a group christened fish eaters anonymous while they regularly chant slogans that are aimed at reminding them to abstain from a fish diet. Analysis of Monsters University The movie begins with a short prologue that establishes mike as a young monster. Mike is a model student that always gets excellent grades but does not have the spark that accompanies others with special talents. Mike meets Sully who is his complete opposite since he is a wild party animal. He originates from a family that possesses the ability to scare people and he had coasted through life and school on this family fame. This film is the sort that is quite easy to underrate. This is because it is not deep but it has numerous goals that are quite diverse but it manages to achieve all of these goals. The movie’s script has lines that are quotable due to the fact that they are both funny and wise as well. The film reminds adults as well as emphasize to children what it means to be loyal, honorable, fair and honest. The film is an excellent family entertainment. A review of Wall-E The movie setting is seven hundred years in the future whereby a city of skyscrapers has raised from the land. However a much more closer examination of the city reveals that the buildings have been built out of garbage that has been neatly arranged into bales that have been piled on one another. Only the Wall-E which is the last operational solar powered robots stirs up the land. He scoops up the garbage, pushes it into its belly and presses it into a square that it neatly places on top of the growing skyscrapers. The movie spots a wonderful look and finds a color palette that is cheerful; and bright but at the same time not too pushy. The drawing style of the scene spots a Comic Book Cool style. The movie is preceded by a skit named Presto that is about a disagreement between a rabbit and a magician over a carrot. Analysis of Cars A car named Lightning McQueen has just lost a major race and then afterwards he accidentally goes into the hamlet named Radiator Springs that is in Carburetor county. This town was a lively one previously when the way to get to L.A from Chicago was through Route 66. McQueen’s dream is to win the Piston Cup which was the grand prix of racing in America. He gets lost and impounded while on his way to race. The main message in the film is simplicity. Life was much better in the previous days when it mostly revolved around small towns whereby everyone knew one another. This old America is much loved by Hollywood and manages to survive in the town of Radiator springs like a time capsule. The movie is wonderful but does not have the extra push that is present in the other Pixar films. Analysis of UP It is an incredible film that has believable characters that spend most of their time floating on top of the Venezuelan rain forests. These characters have obsessions, problems and tempers. The film’s main focus is on Carl’s life immediately after Ellie. Carl becomes a recluse after that and tends to keep his house as sort of a memorial and regularly talks to the absent Ellie. Analysis of Monsters, Inc The movie shows that just like what small children used to believe, there truly are monsters in the closets of their bedrooms especially after dark. The closet door at night leads to the city of Monsters known as Monstropolis that is powered by Scream Heat. This means that they jump out of the closet to scare the children in order to collect their Screams. The movie has remarkable computer aided animation just like in Toy Story and A Bug’s Life. The movie is a high energy cheerful film that has a large supply of references and gags that are also aimed at a mature audience. Analysis of the Movie Toy Story The movie manages to create a universe out of a number of kid’s bedrooms, a stretch of suburban highway and a gas station. The movie is very suitable for kids in the audience because it contains a lot of humor which makes it very exciting to watch. The adults will also be entertained since the movie’s first feature which is made up entirely by use of a computer, manages to achieve a freedom of movement and three dimensional reality that is new and liberating. Eberts bigger little movie glossary: A greatly expanded and much improved compendium of movie clichés, stereotypes, obligatory scenes, hackneyed formulas, shopworn conventions, and outdated archetypes.
