The title of my collage is Desolation; which means something that is unhappy, ugly or deserted. So to start my college I went to different places to take the perfect pictures. I went to Alba, to a power plant, to Sitra, and to many other places. I had fun traveling but it could also be tiring at times. The excitement is always there, however, it could also be frustrating as I always had to explain why I am taking pictures. People tend to become suspicious of me bringing a camera and taking pictures of places. I was even chased by the people because they thought I am a spy or something. I explained to them that I am an art student and what I am doing if for a school project which I had to accomplish. The policemen saw in my eyes that I am telling the truth and so they let me go on with my business. In the days that I was taking pictures and thinking, I saw many sad and unpleasant things like pollution, heaps of garbage and dump, dirty streets and other unsightly scenes. All of these that I saw, I want to incorporate in my collage. I want to show people that we are not living in a perfect world and being that, we all need to be wary and be willing to help one another. By simply throwing our trash in proper garbage cans, or whatever you call it, is also a big help in keeping our place clean. I was always hoping that in the end, I will be able to collect all the photos that I needed for my college; and I am happy to say that I did, also I know that I can still make it more beautiful and meaningful. Of course, as an artist, I know when my collage is perfectly done. With hard work and dedication to this project, I am fully aware that I will be able to achieve my goal in this collage as an artist. ...Download file to see next pagesRead More

Description Of The Photo

...Description Of The Photo Some photographs bring back such memories to mind that make us gloomy for some moments. When we look at such pictures, we go into a flash-back and experience the same pain and sadness that we were going through at the time the picture was taken. Still, we keep such photographs and secure them in albums and photo frames no matter how much they discomfort us whenever we look at them. I have never understood this context of human nature. Why should a man save such items in possession that inflict pain on his heart? Why is it a part of human nature to enjoy suffering? I do not know if I am right, but all I know is that there are some pictures in my possession that make me sad. The picture I am going to describe here...

... illustrating the contemporary world with perfection, well defined inanimate objects and magnificent light arrangement. There are some creations of Ono which gave us some alternative vision of the world with a distinctive message rather than simple answers and explanations. One of them is ‘Fly’ which demonstrates an interesting and unique picture of fruit flies trying to explore a naked body of a woman. This painting gives us a perspective view, a tiny small creature on an alien and strange landscape of the body. The most interesting part in the entire exhibition was the specially designed photo booth installed in the entrance of the Serpentine Gallery. It gave the visitors a chance to record their smiles and see other people’s smiles...

... of mankind. You know what comes next, of course. You know I’m writing this at my desk, on a Thursday, and day after tomorrow I’ll put on bib overalls, the neighbors thinking what an affectation, and pull weeds for the composter, and dig a place for a late row of greens, most of them going to seed instead of in the pot, and tell myself what the hell, I just want to dig the dirt and watch the stuff grow, and educated fool at last. Each person must live their life as a model for others. Mazen Al-Abdulaljabbar Elizabeth Saur English 101 April 17, 2013 Collage Reflection Words can truly change our life. Photo Assignment

...Photo Assignment The theme of the cluster of photos above would be love and family. Here, it shows how it is just innate among parents, whatever race or culture they have, to care and nurture their kids not only physically feeding them with nutritious food that will allow them to grow up to be healthy kids but at the same time filling in other aspects of need that their children have such as support, discipline, education, and a spiritual relationship and understanding of God’s love. Indeed, parenthood is a responsibility that has a start but has no end. DIRECTORIAL COLLAGE and CASTING

... THE MONOLOGUE People of different walks of life can find themselves at one point looking for one thing; a job. A housepainter, a banker, a house cleaner, they all have different backgrounds but are all looking for one thing. As life unfolds, it is different to different people. It can be because of our own fault, a consequence of our own doing, as for the telephone operator who experiences pain and cramps while at work because of eating baked macaroni. Life can also be due to ‘our bad’ these are the decisions we made unconsciously not knowing that they could have prior consequences in our lives, like the second applicant who never saw the need for going to school and deemed church as more important. She finally gets lost... THE MONOLOGUE...
