Rosenberg strongly emphasizes on existential drama and commitment of the Pollock (Rosenberg, 453). This approach by Rosenberg was more concerned with the revolution of imagination in the authors mind and placing an event and not mere painting on the canvas. Painting is viewed as a form of political, moral and aesthetic liberation of the artist (Rosenberg, 353).

On the other hand, Greenberg interprets Pollocks work by focusing more on its technical and formal aspects of the analysis. The technical aspects of the analysis include among others style of the painting, form and texture of the work of art (Clement, 64). The interpretation of Pollocks work by Rosenberg is more vivid and also relevant in analyzing paintings. This is because the interpretation seeks to explain the authors imaginations that generate an event on the canvas through portraying the authors actual self-expression from within.

The painting contains the revelation of the artist that is as a result of the imagination. Paintings that is made through such an action of the painter are inseparable from the artists biography since portrays their thoughts and personality on the canvas. Paintings portray the painter’s inner feelings and ideas about certain things through pictures. Several artists use painting as a major source of passing message and information. The use of painting carries very strong message in picture form and reaches several people through their emotions.

Pollock’s paintings are like autumn rhythm and reinforce the ideas of Rosenberg and Greenberg of modern art through special motive for extinguishing the objects to be portrayed in the painting. Pollock’s method involved reproducing and redesigning the image that maybe of an actual or an imagination of the real object before putting down the object on approaching the easel. For this reason and the special motive used by Pollock in his work of art makes his paintings be like the autumn rhythm (Jackson, 46).
