This relates to the patterns as discussed by Eldredge in the sense that when a certain species is bred with another one from a different part of the world, it leads to the creation of new patterns of species that are well adapted to the environment.

It is a dangerous idea since it bases its argument on the ground that species once developed or created can never transform which is not correct. For instance, gene duplication can form different species resulting from the same parental organism mainly because of polyploidization.

For instance, a common rhea that Darwin located in South America when bred with another ostrich produced a new species that fitted the environment.

Human activity such as mining and construction dismantle animal homes thus rendering them homeless and at the same leaving them vulnerable to predators and extreme climates that make their survival hard.
