The movie revolves around a steel industry that has a number of workers although there is one particular worker ‘Charlie’ who works and behaves in an unusual way. In relation to organizational culture, it is clear that in the industry has an employee who is compelled to work for long hours and are occasionally seen to have poor relations between them while working. In addition, there is intimidation and lack of freedom for the workers as demonstrated by ‘Charlie’ when he goes out for a short break and is seen to smoke through the talking machine; he is immediately ordered to go back to work (Chaplin,1936) Apparently, the manager is seen to have the final decision in the new machine where he further uses one of the workers ‘Charlie’ as the determiner of the effect of the machine.

Even after ‘Charlie’ is believed to have a nervous breakdown, and is admitted in the hospital for a period of time, he leaves the hospital only to release that he has lost his job.
