This means that the kind of news may have notable differences in relation to the length of time and the details of the coverage. On the other hand, radio news reports have differences in relation to the languages they use in the process of presentation to the public who form their audience. This implies that various radio stations may cover a scene and present the news in their bulletins in various languages according to the target population that form the audience of the radio station (Johnson, 2006, p.123). On the other hand, in the process of presentation of radio news, some radio stations have some scripts of the communication that happened in the course of the coverage in the scene of the event while others present news in a properly elaborated manner without scripts. This makes the difference between the various radio stations because they show these diverse styles of presenting information to the people so that the audience can understand the events (Gunter, 2012, p.7). Some of the radio broadcasting stations that provide news about events that happen in the world in different ways include the BBC, Classic FM UK and the Real Radio Scotland. The three radio stations have various styles of presenting news to the people in order to reach to the people who receive their news from different physical areas as well as who represents cultural diversities. BBC radio, Classic FM and Real Radio Scotland have a common way of presenting their news to their audience in that they focus have a specific language they use in the presentation. The languages through which these radio stations communicate to the audience depend on the people that they target so that they can ensure that they are able to understand the news the present to them. For example, BBC radio uses British English because it was first established in the England and it focused on the people within the country and even when it expanded to other countries, it continued the use of the language. Classic FM radio broadcasts its news in British English considering the fact that it serves a section of the citizens of UK living in North West of England. This means that the people are able to understand the language of the communication through which presenters broadcast news to them and this is a similar case for Real Radio Scotland that uses English language to communicate to the public. This means the three radio stations i.e. BBC, Classic FM and Real Radio Scotland use English in the their presentation of news to their target audience in different parts of the world (Hohn, 2007, p.37). In presentation of the news, these radio stations have both time for giving headlines and some other time allocated where they report the events in details. This means that these radio stations allocate time when they present news in short and another time when the information is given in more details and this is done according to the programmes of these radio stations. Through this style of presentations of news, the audience remain updated on the events that occur in various parts of the world and the details of the events are offered in specific news bulletins hours. These radio stations therefore, have different sessions for long and short news bulletins in different times of the day to ensure they communicate to the audience on as much events as possible of what happens around them (Chantler and Stewart, 2009, p.75). Because of the different times of presentations, the companies present information as short packages so as to reduce the length of time to present the information to the audience. For example, the BBC, Classic FM and Real Radio present news in short packages at different times in the course of the day with some at the beginning of the hour and others at the half hour mark or other designated times in the course of their broadcasting time. This means that at particular times in the course of the day, these radio stations broadcast news in few details so that they can assign other times to other programmes that are aired to the audience. In most cases, the short packaged news form the information that is elaborated and presented in details during the time of full news bulletin presentations in the course of the day (Fleming, 2009, p.94). One other similarity in the style of presentations of news by different radio stations concerns the diversity of methods of presentation of information so as to ensure clarity in presentation. In this respect, people are able to bring to the attention of all the people the various issue that happen in different other places in ways that capture their attentions and keep them listening. The news broadcasters and reporters use diverse ways to ensure that the information the present concerning a certain event which they cover in the process of broadcasting. For example, while in some cases the broadcasters presents the news by describing in a detailed way the progress of information in a narrative style, some others reinforce their description of information through scripts of the events. This makes sure that they able to attain the goal of clarifying the information to the audience who depend on the radio channels to get information on the people who are in the society (Alysen, 2006, p.23). All the three radio stations present their information according to set topics that are directed by the events that are reported in the news of that specific time of broadcasting. Through this way, the news broadcasters are able to coherently present the information so that they are orderly and ensure that there is no confusion of details that need to be presented concerning a certain event that they report. In some cases, the news reports are classified in categories of like issues that are related although they may not be from similar locations on the earth in the present area. For example, the news may be categorised according to politics, business sports and other subcategories that ensure that there are great detailed coverage of the events in a systematic manner (Johnson, 2006, p.220). However, even if these radio stations have similarities in their presentation of news, they have some areas of differences where they use different styles to communicate the details of the events they have about an event. In some cases, these differences occur in relations to the length of time these stations allocate for news, the kind of methods they use to elaborate information, the specific times during the day that these people offer the information to the people in the society among other issues that determine the favour the presentation of information. Through these differences, these radio stations are able to offer the target population with the information about events in the world in accordance to the best ways they can understand it. In presentation of information, BBC radio presents the headlines of the news about an event before elaborating the information in the same session of giving news to the people. In this respect, the BBC radio is able to present a good coverage of events that happened in a certain scene in terms of the details it gives about the background and the people who are involved. The headlines act as the introduction to the information that follows in the presentation but they are self sustaining even if they were not elaborated in the course of presentation. This is as opposed to the style of Classic FM radio in which there is rarely headlines of news in the session of presentation but the broadcasters go straight to the main points of the news in the news report. This implies that they two radio stations have different methods of presentation of news are diverse and they influence the listening of their audiences in the course of presentation of the information. On the other hand, the style of presentation of news used by Real Radio Scotland is reflective of the one used by the BBC but it happens in shorter sessions than the ones in BBC (Chignell, 2011, p.12). In the Real Radio Scotland, there is only one presenter of news in the course of presentation as opposed to the BBC where more than one news broadcaster conveys the information about an event. The same case happens in Classic FM radio which uses only one news presenter to convey the news during the hour of presentation. According to this style, short time is taken by the presenter to deliver information to the audience who depend on the information to know the events that happens around their environment but also from other parts of the world. In BBC, the news broadcasters that are involved in the news presentations alternate in such a way that each of them presents his or her parts of the information so that they do not get weary of presenting. This happens because the radio station has a longer session of news that if taken by one presenter would be boring and tiresome especially in addressing the various topics of the news. However, one presenter style is applicable in Classic FM and Real Radio Scotland because they have short sessions of news that would not be difficult to manage for one person (Luscombe, 2009, p.2). The BBC news broadcasting style uses scripts in the process of presentation of information about an event that they covered so as to increase the credibility of the information they offer to their audience. Through the scripts, people offer the information that is relevant to the topic to help the audience get the perspective of the people who were in the event that occurred in an area around the world. This style is different from that which is used by Real Radio Scotland which does not use this regularly but rather uses detailed description of the event to make people understand what happened (West, 2013, p.12). This makes the length of news session in the Real Radio Scotland to be relatively shorter as compared to that of the BBC radio news. In the recent past, BBC radio has focused on the presentation of news using the highest quality of British English that is void of any slack language and other grammatical errors. This implies that all the presenters are able to presents the news according to high standards of presentation of information without conforming to the prevailing cultures of the people, which introduce slacks (Luscombe, 2009, p.2-3). On the opposite, the kind of language used by presenters in both Real Radio Scotland and Classic FM do not necessarily follow the standard language rules because they target a specific people within the society which may have their own cultural differences in presentation of the language. This means that the language of the news presentation of Classic FM and Real Radio Scotland is dictated by the cultural variation of the people who usually listen to it. In this respect, some slacks are used as opposed to the style of BBC that has the world audience and serve people in the different continents including America which has a slightly different form of English language (Grant, 2010, p.29-31). In order to present the details of the coverage of an event that happen in a specific place in the world, different radio stations use methods and styles that could be similar to others stations. However, there are areas of variation in presentation of information according to the establishment of a radio station or as dictated by the target population of that specific station. According to the methods of presentation, for example, some radio stations take long or less time and use one or more radio presenters in order to report the occurrences in a scene but also, most of them categorise information for easier understanding by the audience.
